CLUE 8
The 8th clue is the Square in a Square.  You will need to make:
1  - 6" finished blocks 
  (larger pattern at bottom of page)
Cutting Instructions:  ( for 1 - 6" finished blocks )
Light Scraps:
                Cut 1 - 4 1/4 squares, Cut Twice on the diagonal
               
Dark Scraps:
                Cut 1 - 3 1/2" square
                Cut 2 - 3 7/8" squares, Cut Once on the diagonal
                    
Assembly:
    Refer to the diagram for assembly.  Square to 6 1/2"
Construction:

Get out the unit that you sewed together in clue 6, 9 patch and twinkling star.  Sew it to a basket block like in the picture :P 
For those that are making the bigger version of this quilt, I am giving you a chalange.  The square ina square is quite boring.  So I am substituting it for one of the following blocks.  Now you do not have to make them, any scrappy 12 1/2 inch unfinished block will do.  You only have to make one :P
