Who Am I?
A, so you have come to find out who would create such an odd page, or perhaps to discover why a "Javert Shrine" would have a Valjean quote on it? Well, either way you have come to the right place.
My name is Laura Van Fossen and at the time of making this page I was 16 years old(now I am 20). My birthday is November 2, just in case any of you kind people wish to send me a birthday card. I have loved musicals ever since I can remember. My first main musical obession being The Phantom of the Opera. You can visit my "choose-your-own-destiny" Phantom page here.
The first song I remember hearing from Les Mis was "Do you Hear the People Sing?" (and boy, did I ever!) in a review show I was in at about the age of 12. Later that week, I went out and bought the CSR highlights CD. Ah, those innocent, ignorant days of my youth...my inexperience with musical theatre. True to the part of my character that loves "villians" (sinister and sexy, I say!) I fell in love with Javert. In my ignorance, I didn't know how he committed suicide, yet I acted it out in the privacy of my bedroom, assuming he used a knife as his death weapon of choice. Great jumpin' Javerts was I wrong!
My obsession hovered in the background, always in the shadow of my almighty "Phantom". It wasn't until recently when it came more fully into the light. It still comes in a very close second to Phantom of the Opera (sorry to disappoint you) but I adore it all just the same. And that's how this website came about!
Right now, I love being involved in musical theatre, and attend college as a vocal performance major. I am also really into history and archaeololgy. I really enjoy role playing through email, so if you have any good ones that need characters, I'm likely to be able to help.
