Opiate For The Masses

They like fire.

This is a group of really kick ass Phoenix guys I know.
I met them the first time in October. Well, I met Ron in October. We were at a show at the Web Theater that Front 242 was supposed to be at, those bastards! (They dropped last minute). So we stayed for Linkin Park and Opiate For The Masses and left immediately after Opiate's set because the rest of the bands sucked ass.
So we're going to the car and we notice this little hidey hole room and see one of the band members walk by. We decide to hang out till one of them wanders out, and it happens to be Ron. He signs some autographs and I end up with a bag of M&M's. No wait! I met Elias the first time then too, he kind of wandered out halfway through the conversation and we got introduced, then he wandered away again.
I saw them again a couple months later when a friend of mine and I were at Zia (tucson)and they filed out. It took us all a minute, but we recognised each other and talked for a while. Then later they showed up at Safehouse and sat down with us. We talked and they invited us to the show, gave us tickets, and told us about an after party. I ended up not being able to go because of work. Stupid work.

Their music is really hard hitting and melodic all at the same time. Visit the web site, they do a better job at explaining their music than I do.

The guys are all really nutty. In a good way.
Ron is really hyper. Chatty. Make you laugh kind of guy. He seems to like to talk about tattoos even though he has none. He's always a lot of fun to talk to. Always has a smile.
Elias is a sweetie. Smart. He and I have had some really good conversations. He knows his shit. He's real straight-forward. Remembers things.
Head is quiet. At least shy. Kind of does his own thing. Didn't say much when I met him.
I think those are the only 3 I can honestly say I met. If I'm forgetting someone, don't be mad, please. Email and let me know.
