I know we have laws for a reason. I know that reason is because people would hurt themselves and each other without them. Ok, granted, I think this defys the purpose of natural selection. If you don't let people kill off themselves, then this planet is going to be overrun by stupidity.
I digress.
Laws that are helpful? Any of them reguarding theft, murder, abuse, rape, illegal entry into the country. These things help us stay a civilized society. These things are set in place and have a clear purpose. I don't question these. Even speeding laws, I don't like 'em. I like to drive really really fast. But I have been in enough accidents (none my fault, thank you very much)to know how stupid it is to drive really fast when there are other cars on the road. Now, if I'm on a lonely stretch of highway with no one else around, who am I endangering but myself? I dont think I should get a ticket for that. It's my body, my car, if I want to hurt them both I should be allowed to.
Which brings us to the laws that make no sense.
Seatbelt laws. This is the goddamn stupidest thing I've ever heard of. NO ONE but me is effected by this. Not a soul on earth is touched by this other than me. And personally, seatbelts annoy me. If I'd been wearing one in my second accident I would be dead, no question. I don't wear them because of this, and I don't see how it's fair that I could get in trouble for it.
Other such laws include-
Drug laws. Hell, it's their body, let em do what they like. If they hurt someone else then deal with it. If they get into a car, or try to use a weapon, then stop them. Until they do something like that, they're hurting no one but themselves. LET THEM. This is Natural Selection folks. At it's finest. We weed out the weaker. It's supposed to happen this way, goddamn it! NATURAL SELECTION!

Sucide? Do I really have to say any more on why this is a stupid thing to be against the law?
And prostitution? Why is this illegal? What's the point of it? Why stop two concenting adults from doing what they want to do? This happens every night in bars. It's just like prostitiution. Guys buy girls drinks and take them home and screw them. No one says this is illegal. And what's worse anyway? Going to bed with a woman you know to be a whore, and seeing right off that she's not all that easy on the eyes; or waking up next to Chewbacca, having previously thought she was a knockout? (this goes both ways, by the way).
None of these hurts anyone. Let it happen. Let people do as their hearts desire. Hell, the crime rates may even go down. If people don't have to fight for it, they'll be less violent.
