Here is a nice 28 inch Sea Trout caught on a bucktail at the Indian River Inlet at 6:15 a.m. just as the tide was turning from low to high.
I caught a smaller 24 inch Sea Trout about 25 minutes later, that was it for me at the inlet.
Here's a 21 inch Flounder caught in the Indian River Bay outside of Massey's Ditch.
Not even close to the biggest Flounder you've ever seen but one of the few that I have caught over the years, I had no luck at all in Delaware for the past 2-3 years.
I was pretty stoked by this point, sleep depravation caused by 3 a.m. fishing expeditions made this fierce creature seem meaner than he actually was I guess...
This was my Labor Day weekend flounder, another nice catch!
I had been fishless for many years in Delaware, people all around me would be reeling them in left and right but I just couldn't land one. This year I broke the curse and how!  I was very pleased with the weeks activities which consisted of fishing all morning and afternoon followed by much Tequiza and relaxing.  Ok, so I did get Bronchitis the first weekend I was there but the BeeBee Medical Center was awesome and efficient, I was in, x-rayed and on my way all within an hour, sure beats the crap out of Readings Emergency Center.  I got a prescription and stopped coughing blood by Monday.  We stayed for a week and had a great time, my father in law finally gave up his beat up boat for a new one that even runs in the water!   A good time was had by all.
