You might be reading this with disbelief, but believe it. Earlier today, I
was finally able to get in contact with the man behind Holden Raines, Matt
Lee. I was looking to get his thoughts on his recent world title win, and I
was shocked at what he had to say.
According to Lee, he plans to retire within the next 1-2 months, because he
feels that he has nothing left to prove creatively. When I asked him to
elaborate on this, he told me that he's done everything he wants to do in
this profession, and that if he were to continue doing so he'd merely be
going in circles.
I guess I understand where he's coming from, what's left to do after winning
both the ACF and EWA world championships? One has to wonder where this will
leave the EWA, and more importantly it's world title. Once again, your eyes
haven't mislead you, Matt Lee aka Holden Raines does plan to retire in the
not so distant future.
