In the year 2002, we believe the following things will occur:
Paul Steakhouse -
* There will be two clear breakthrough superstars next year. Eric Walther
for EWA, and Shane Matthews for SDW. I would be shocked if either of them walk away from 2002 without at least one world title reign.* Less big name stars will be in the spotlight. You won't see anymore
comebacks from the likes of Serial Thrylla, TBL, and Nick Diamante.* Speaking of SDW, I suspect that they will run into management troubles,
and fall by the waste side, just like so many of it's predecessors.* E-feds will continue to lean towards a more hardcore trend. This was the
case for 2001, as the top two matches of the year were both hardcore battles.* Liger will continue to be the trailblazer of the circle, again emerging
as the man for 2002.* There will be another big tournament that will light the circle on fire.
* CEWL will come out of nowhere to become a steady, solid fed.
* Hoke Smart will threaten suicide at last 2 or 3 times in 2002.
* Inside E-wrestling will continue to provide the best news coverage this
circle has ever seen.* Lastly, and unfortunately, I see e-wrestling in this circle dying out
once and for all by the time 2002 ends. In truth, everyone in the circle is getting to the age where they have better things to do with their time. For the last couple of years, there was the set of younger guys that kept things going while us college kids started to get lazy, but now those guys are becoming college kids too. People will remain friends, but the e-wrestling aspect of the circle will be finished.
E-Wrestling Mark -
* Nomad will excel in the EWA, and rise to the top once again. He will become the champion once again.
* Names like Vince DiNardo, Arthryn, Tiki Tortez, Eric Walther and Leon Sharpe should have a GREAT year in the EWA, most if not all of them getting a crack at the world heavyweight title.
* EWA should remain a strong federation. However, SDW will rise with a talented roster and give EWA a good...scratch that. An EXTREMELY good run for their money.
* I think Chandler will come back for one last shot at the big time, but will not attain the status he once did.
* Tiki Tortez, as I mentioned before, should get a good run after coming back to the efeds scene. The man is talented, and is very entertaining. I believe he will have one of the best years.
* EWA's and SDW's respective world title belts should gain respect, since they will be held by men for a long while, and defended constantly.
* I don't think it will be the best year for e-wrestling in general. Many will leave, and give up hope on what we like to call our circle. But I think we'll keep going on.
* Two names that come to mind when I think of SDW's future are Joey Fury and Lorenzo Hayes, don't know why. Seriously, I don't know why.
* Nick Diamante will return to the scene one last time and have a HUGE impact before fading out for good.
* New talent will be lacking. Not many will join the federations, and those who do might not be as new as you think they are. The key will be in the hands of the current young wrestlers.
