(Christ + Jesus) Members: http://www.aliceinchains.com/ Layne Staley - lead vocals, guitar Jerry Cantrell - lead guitar, vocals Sean Kinney - drums Mike Inez - bass guitar Alice In Chains started in the early 90s "grunge" explosion in Seattle. They released a string of remarkably strong records, Facelift, Dirt, Sap, Jar of Flies, and a self-titled one, before sadly dropping out from touring and making new records. They mustered a "last hurrah," performing on Unplugged in 1996, and opening a few shows for Kiss. Layne Staley died of a heroin overdose in 2002.
(Christ + Jesus) Members: Kurt Cobain - vocals, guitar Krist Novoselic - bass guitar Dave Grohl - drums Nirvana changed the face of music. They had a short explosive career, releasing Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, In Utero, Unplugged, and From The Muddy Banks of the Wishkah. Kurt Cobain died in 1994. It is widely considered to be a suicide, but Christ knows this isn't true. Grohl went on to form Foo Fighters, while Novoselic founded Sweet 75, and now plays in Eyes Adrift, with former Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh and Chris Kirkwood from the Meat Puppets. (For more information on Nirvana, try using search engines to locate fan pages because their official page sucks.)

(Christ + Jesus) Members: http://web.stargate.net/soundgarden/ Chris Cornell - vocals, guitar Kim Thayil - lead guitar Ben Shepherd - bass guitar Matt Cameron - drums Soundgarden formed in 1985. They made Ultramega OK, the Fopp EP, Louder Than Love, Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, Down on the Upside, and A-sides. Their special brand of sludgy grunge makes them truly unique. Not to mention Chris Cornell's amazing voice and the other guys' sick skills. They broke up in 1997. Fuck. Cornell went on to Audioslave and Matt Cameron joined the greatest band ever, Pearl Jam. I don't know what happened to the other two guys. Oh, well.

(Christ + Jesus) Members: http://www.skunk.com/sublime/ Brad Nowell - vocals, guitar Eric Wilson - bass guitar Bud Gaugh - drums & Lou Dog (sits on stage) Sublime formed in Long Beach, California in 1988. Starting off as a "below-average garage band," they quickly built a following and released 40 Oz. To Freedom, and Robbin' The Hood. Their style was genre-hopping from ska to punk to rock to rap to hip hop to reggae to dub. They recorded their self-titled masterpiece in 1996. Lead singer Brad Nowell overdosed on heroin before it was released, but Sublime elected to release it. After his death, they released Second Hand Smoke, a live album, (Stand By Your Van) and an acoustic record. Wilson and Gaugh went on to Long Beach Dub All Stars. Gaugh also plays in Eyes Adrift.

(Christ + Jesus) Members: http://www.systemofadown.com/ Serj Tankian - vocals Daron Malakian - guitar Shavo Odadjian - bass guitar John Dolmayan - drums System of a Down came onto the scene with a bang. They, as a band, feel that their message is truly unique, and that their style of music, singing, and lyrics hasn't been done before. They debuted with 1998's System of a Down, and followed up with 2001's fabulous Toxicity. During the Toxicity sessions, they recorded many songs that didn't make the album. These songs found their way onto the internet. To fight that, the band released Steal This Album, featuring the outtakes.
