And I Waited For You...
Installment Two  ..  Page Three
But both have really nice houses. Take mine for example, its huge. Its only a
two-story house when lots are three stories, but its still one of the nicest in
the Grove.  Mason and I each have a bedroom, plus my parents do, and we still
have one room left over, and its just a spare room for when guests come.
Downstairs is the living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room and a study
but I dont use the study much because I prefer my roomand the laptop in my
room.) Weve got two bathrooms upstairs, one downstairs.  Weve got a huge deck
out back that goes down to our inground pool.  Plus Mason and I have our
trampoline. And we have a breezeway that connects our house to the three-car
garage.  Its got a basketball hoop on it, but it doesnt get used all too often,
and when it does its mostly by me, Masons more into hockey than basketball.

I finally turned off of my road, Woodland Drive, which takes forever because its
really long and has a lot of turns.  There are a ton of streets in Wood Groove,
and they all branch of from other roads, so if you dont know your way around,
youre going to get lost in about two minutes.  I kept jogging, hoping to do a
quick run through Asher and then get out of there and home before midnight. An
hour, no problem.  At night, I dont know.  I run at night a lot, but not
usually this late, usually its like, nine when I run, not ten thir--I checked my
watch--quarter of eleven.

I ran around one of the many circles on dead end streets, I turned to head home,
it was quarter of twelve now, but I was really starting to enjoy running in the
moonlight.  Almost a full moon, it looked beautiful.  I even slowed down, I was
tired and eager to get home and in bed, but it was nice walking the streets
under the streetlights while crickets chirped all around you.

~ Zac ~

Im going rollerblading, want to come?  I asked Taylor.

No thanks dude, its way too late. He answered.

     Not that late.

Zac, its eleven thirty at night, where are you going to go? In the driveway?
Taylor said.

Oh yeah, ok, now everyone make fun of me. I said.

Im serious, its too late. Taylor said.

Tay, Ill only be gone a little while, plus, how do you know I dont do this
all the time? I said, just to make him curious.

What? No. No you dont. He argued.

Ok, think what you want I guess. I said joking around. Im leaving.

Zac no. You cant just up and leave the house when everyones sleeping.  Dude
were Hanson.  None of us can just up and leave the house anytime we want.
People out there are out to get us, girls and guys.

Ooohhguys huh? I bet you like them, huh Tay? I laughed.

What? GROSS!  Thats sick Zac, not even funny. Tay said, but I could tell he
was trying real hard not to laugh. Get out of here. He said, opening the front
door for me. But BE CAREFUL.  If something happens to you, its my ass that
gets chewed out, GOT IT?

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, I got it. I said, jumping down the front steps.

And DONT break anything either Zac, weve got a performance next week.

Ok Mom. I laughed, blading down the driveway and onto the street.

I didnt know where I wanted to go, but I knew I wanted to get out into fresh
air so I could at least think clearly. For one thing, I couldnt stop thinking
about Candal. Candal, what kind of a name is that? What kind of a name is
Walker, Zoey, Avery or Isaac? Just different, but why am I acting so obsessed
with her?

I turned off one road and onto the next, where I could no longer look back and
see my house. It was huge, maybe a little too huge. But it was comfortably huge.
So it wasnt too bad.  Just different. A lot of things are different lately.
But thats not all bad.  I had to laugh, poor Ike felt bad about leaving my
parents with six kids, hes twenty-one and he still hasnt moved out of the
house. But I know Tay and I would both be the same way if we were in his
position. Geez, Tays already nineteen.

I jumped off a sidewalk, falling without hardly making a noise on the street
pavement, I tried to pick up speed. I really need to stop thinking so much about
Candal.  Shes just a girl. Yeah, but shes different. I dont know why, but
shes different.  I should invite her over, yeah, but then shed take one look
at Taylor, fall in love with him, and never want to see me again. Arent I being
kind of childish, hes Taylor Hanson, no doubt shes got fifty pictures of him
on her walls, she already knows what he looks like and probably was just
talking to me so she could get close to Tay.
