Our Insect Stories

Insects

Insects have six legs, wings and antennae. They have a thorax and an abdomen. I like their wings. and strong back legs. Grasshoppers make sounds by rubbing their backs with their legs. Some insects come outside at night. The grasshopper spits out tobacco juice. My favourite insects are the ladybirds and butterflies.

About Our Insect Pictures

Renee showed us how to fold origami butterflies. We made the bodies from popsicle sticks. The praying mantis were cut out of light card and we glued
the ends of their legs to the card so they stood up out of the picture.
