Magnetic Spice Rack
I enjoy cooking, and one cooking necessity is having a collection of spices, but where do you put them? This magnetic spice rack takes up very little space and keeps my spices in-place and organized, even when we're moving.
The inside shelf width is 1/8" wider than the five spice tins that fit on it; the shelf height and width is 1/8" wider and taller than the spice tins it holds. This keeps the tins from jostling  off the shelves while the trailer is in motion.

The shelves are made of hemlock furring strips, sides of the rack are cherry-stained poplar. The white paint is Krylon White Appliance Paint.
The back wall of the spice rack is the wall of our "privacy room" with two strips of magnetic tape at the back of each shelf. The tape is applied with a gap to the shelf below so the rolled bottom edge of the spice tin can tuck underneath.

We go the tape at a Michael's crafts supply store, it's the thickest magnetic tape they sell. are
And it matches the rest of the cabinet doors I've made.
The hemlock "furring strip" shelves between the cans allow just enough room to get your fingers around the top and bottom of a spice tin.
