The Loft Project: Storage |
With the framing and decking in place it was time to make some usable storage spaces. |

I made two of these "ribs," one for each side, to integrate into the upper cabinets. Also in this view is the 10" wide hang space closet. |

The old fiberglass "rib" supports the roof and stops the fiberglass walls of the trailer from vibrating, flapping, and cracking the fiberglass in freeway-speed winds. |

The inside of the hang-space closet door shows how the punched-aluminum panels are held in place. |

The strap stows under the mattress when we're set up. Only the small black rectangle of plastic, part of the belt buckle, shows below the drawers. |

A 3/4" web belt strap and buckle hold the drawers shut while the trailer is moving. |

The decorative trim around the top of the chest of drawers also creates a "lip" that stops stuff from rolling or sliding off. |

110v and 12v outlets on the side of the hang space closet at the foot of the bed. This is where our electric blanket plugs in when we have hookups! |
