Electrical Hookup
I didn't like the "pull through" 30 amp power cable setup that comes standard on most travel trailers (including the Scamp). Not only does the cable wind up in a disorganized heap in the space under the bench seat, the access way provides an ideal port of entry for mice and other small critters.

I replaced my access way with a 30 Amp twist-lock receptacle from West Marine.
I removed the old cable port cover and cut the Scamp's 30 Amp electrical hookup cable so it had about a foot's worth of cable feeding through the trailer's wall. I also made two identical plywood centering rings to hold the new receptacle housing in place in the old access port and cut the inside of the port so the cable hookup would feed through correctly. (See the next picture.)

After test-fitting the rings to the wire port and the receptacle housing I wired the receptacle up and epoxied the receptacle housing into place.
The housing for the Scamp's electrical hookup cable port had to be cut with a utility knife and metal shears so the cable, which comes out of the receptacle at a 90-degree angle, could make its way out.

You can see here that the back of the receptacle housing backs right up to the flaps at the back of the cable access port.

The wire points "up" to prevent  water from draining into the trailer.
I put a 30 Amp twist connector on the long end of the 30 Amp hookup cable.
This is what it looks like when its closed.
