Yu Yu Food-tropolis Part 6: Keiko

Keiko looked around her and giggled.

The scene around her that had prompted her giggle was that it appeared to her that she was inside a pumpkin. It had seeds dangling down in stringy curtains from the top of it.

Keiko tried to move. She froze. Then she began to scream.

She was a pumpkin seed! Oh, woe to her! The pumpkin began to turn as someone on the outside world picked up the pumpkin that she inhabited.

After awhile her world stopped moving and she breathed a sigh of relief, thinking she was safe.

Then a knife appeared. It sliced though the thick skin of the pumpkin effortlessly.

Keiko heard a voice call out,"Daddy, can we bake the pumpkin seeds?!"

"Anything you want dear."

A spoon reached into the gaping wound in the pumpkin and scooped up Keiko and the other seeds.

It spread them out on a platter and sprinkeled salt on them.

Then, Keiko closed her eyes and began to pray, the tray was pushed into the oven.

Later on that night the daughter and her father feasted on roasted pumpkin seeds.
