Candy Houses

It was quiet. A little too quiet when one considered the fact that the hyper-active braided baka was awake. Heero frowned. It was unusual to have silence when Duo was awake, you could normally hear which part of the safe house he was in. Giving up, Heero pushed back his chair and stood. He was going to find out where Duo was.

First he checked the hanger. No Duo.

Then he checked Duo's room on the odd chance that Duo might have fallen asleep. No such luck.

Finally he checked the kitchen and was greeted by the sight of Duo's braid swinging back and forth in time to the horrible noise he called music. Walking up to him, Heero noted something. A small little house covered in candy was sitting before Duo, who was putting the finishing touches on it. The area around him was a mess.

"Duo, what are you doing?"He turned off the music.

Duo's braid stopped moving,"Oi! Heero, what did you do that for? I like that song.

"You like all songs. What are you doing?"Asked Heero again.

"Oh, that."Duo grinned,"I'm making a ginger-bread house. Do you like it?"

"Duo, it's not even made out of ginger-bread."

"So?"

"Alright. Here's another question for you. Why?"Heero stood at Duo's side looking down at the candy-covered house.

"I was bored. And, besides, I'm preparing for Christmas."Duo added another skittle to his house.

Heero sweat-dropped,"Duo, we just got our first snowfall of the year and you are already getting ready for Christmas."

Duo nodded happily,"Yes. Isn't it great?!"

"Isn't it a just a little early?"

"Heero, you can never be too early for Christmas!"

Heero tried another tack,"But your house will be stale by December 25th."

Duo shrugged,"Then I'll just make a new one."Just then his house fell into a jumbled heap of candy,"Looks like I'll have to make a new one now. Want to help Hee-chan?"

Heero winced at Duo's nickname,"Don't call me that and I wouldn't have the faintest idea of what to do."

Duo patted the chair beside him,"Come on."He coaxed,"I'll show you."

Heero sighed, and sat down in the offered seat,"Alright.........as long as it doesn't turn out like your other one."

"Heero!?!"Duo protested as they got down to work.

Quatre sighed, that last mission having been tough on all three of them. It was good to relax. He glanced around at Trowa and Wufei, both reading as he drank his tea. Everything was as it should be.

Heero touched Duo on the shoulder,"Duo."

"What is it Heero?"

"Look at me, Duo."

Duo's head came up, only to find his mouth being invaded by Heero's tongue,"Na, nani?!?!"

"Shhh........."Heero pulled Duo close.

Duo relaxed, not quite believing that one of his fantasies about the sexy perfect soldier was actually happening. He responded by pulling away, causing Heero to protest. Then he gently began to nibble on Heero's lips, teasing soft cry's out of him.

Heero lifted Duo up onto the table, knocking the candy-covered house off in the process and continued his barrage of wandering hands and mouth.

Quatre frowned, he had heard a crash coming from the kitchen. Placing down his cup of tea he went to investigate.

He looked in the room and was treated to the priceless sight of Duo and Heero making out..........on top of what appeared to be the ruins of a candy house. Blushing furiously he backed out of the kitchen and ran back to the living room.

By the time he had reached the living room he had regained some measure of his usual calm.

"What was the crash?"Asked Wufei, looking up from his book.

"It was Duo and Heero."Shrugged Quatre.

"What were they doing?"Asked Trowa in his quiet voice.

Quatre shrugged once more,"I think that we should just stay out of the kitchen for awhile."

Trowa's eyebrows shot up at that statement, but Wufei simply looked clueless.

"I'm going to see."Wufei got up and stalked towards the kitchen.

"Wufei, you shouldn't go --!"Quatre trailed off and sighed,"He went to see."

Trowa and Quatre waited to hear Wufei scream. Minutes passed and no scream came.

"I think we should go check on Wufei."Suggested Quatre.

Trowa nodded and they headed to the kitchen.

They found Wufei slumped against the doorframe in a faint with blood streaming from his nose.

"I hope they didn't notice."Whispered Quatre as they dragged Wufei away from the kitchen.

Duo looked up at his lover as they rested from their activites,"Heero?"

"Nani?"Heero lazily ran his hands through Duo's hair.

"I think Wufei saw us."

"So?"

"Oh, it's nothing important."Duo was silent for a moment,"Heero?"

"What is it Duo?"

"I like candy houses."Duo grinned at Heero impishly.

"You baka."Heero groaned and kissed Duo again.
