Encounters
My friend's mom had gotten us, Mandy, Shreeie, Sharon (Mandy's aunt), Mandy's mom (Kim), and me (Brittany) tickets to the May 3, 1999 concert in Des Moines, Iowa. Kim came and picked Mandy and me up from school at 12:30 to go get the other people. After we had gathered everyone, we were on our way to Des Moines, a two hour drive. When we finally found our hotel, and circled it about 3 times trying to get to the parking place because ther were about 3 buses outside. We finally got in to the parking place and this guy told us that 'N Sync was going to be boarding the buses if we wanted to go catch them. So, Mandy, Sherrie and I got our and walked around to the side of the building where, sure enough, there were fans waiting ourside. Chris came our and waved to everyone and got on the bus, next was J.C. He jumped up and waved to the people in the back (which would have been Mandy, Sherrie, and me since we were the last people to get there). Then Lance came out and then the doors closed. We didn't see Justin or Joey get on, so we figured that they were already on the bus. We went up to our hotel room and talked to the bell-hop guy. Mandy asked if they were staying in the same hotel and he said no and I told her that he was lying cuz the lady at the front desk told Kim that they were. So, after he had brought our bags up to the room, we left to go find the venue. Luckily, Kim picked the hotel that had a sky-walk to the venue where they were performing. We walked over there and then walked back when we found it. About 1/2 an hour later, we left to go to the concert. It was sooo amazing! Blaque came out and preformed before 'N Sync did and they were totally awesome! After the concert, we walked back to our hotel room. Mandy, Sherrie and I wanted to go check out the hotel, so we all went together. When we got off the elevator in the hotel lobby, we were greeted by tons of girls who were obviously waiting for 'N Sync to come down. We couldn't have been off the elevator for more than about 2 minutes when Joey came off the elevater next to us and greeted everyone. Since there was no way we were gonna be behind all the girls that were there already, we waited close by the elevators. When Joey came out, Mandy looked at him and started to scream, but she caught herself. That caught Joey's attetntion and he looked over at us and smiled and put his finger to his mouth and said "Don't scream please." Then he walked in to the mass crowd of girls. We stood ther and just watched him get clobbered by them. You had to feel sorry. He walked over to us and asked if we had an extra piece of paper and so Kim handed him a piece and he tore off the corner and wrote a whole bunch of stuff down and then signed the paper and handed it back to her. She handed it back to me. When he asked for the paper Kim said yes and asked if he'd sign the ticket stubbs and he said yes. So, after that he went back up and Joey's brother came down. We talked to him for a few minutes and I got my picture taken with him. He is sooo nice! Sharon called a friend back in Cedar Rapids, cuz that's where we live, and talked to her until 2 in the morning! So, we waited around in the lobby until 2:00. The girls from Blaque came down and we talked to them for a while and we got our pictures taken and everything. They are sooo nice to their fans! Well, it was my birthday and mandy told them that. Just as she asked if we got to meet the guys, Joey walked into the hotel lobby. We said we got to see Joey and his brother and the guitarist (you know, the one with the long hair?). She said, "Oh, look! Ther's Joey! C'mon, it's your birthday and you're gonna meet him!" So Natina (from Blaque) grabbed my hand and took me over to meet Joey. He was sooo sweet and he told me happy birthday and then he gave me a kiss on the cheek! Oh! I was in heaven! We got our pictures taken with nim and eveything! He is such a sweetheart! Well, the next morning we left with wonderful memories of our concert. My friend Laura had tickets for the May 4, 1999 concert in Moline, Illinois. She invited me to go before I got my ticket for the May 3rd one, so I got to go to two 'N Sync concerts, in two days, with 2 different friends, in two different states! It was sooo much fun!

I met 'N Sync on March 24, 1999 at the Cleveland Convocation Center in Cleveland, Ohio. It's kind of weird how it happend though...
My friend Jessyca and I arrived at the venue about noon after our three hour drive up there. There were a few groups of girls around, but not a whole lot. We waited and waited and at about 4:00 the bus pulled into the venue. Of course they pulled into the garage so we couldn't see 'N Sync get off the us. All we could see were the bottoms Justin's sneakers!
All of a sudden we saw a mob of girls starting to run over to the front of the venue. Jessyca and I ran over there and started asking some girls what in the world was going on. Well it was rumored that there were some backstage passes still available. So we waited in line for about 15 minutes when a guy came out and said that there were no more passes. He also said that people with the fan club needed to enter the venue at this time. Jessyca and I had just recently signed up for the fan club, but hadn't received any info yet, so Jessyca told the guy she was in the fan club and he let her in the door like that!
I was in shock still standing outside. All these girls started mobbing the door so I got pushed back a little bit. I looked through the window and saw Jessyca telling the guy something about me and he pushed all the girls out of the way and let me inside too!
Jessyca and I had no idea what was going on, but all we knew was that that we were inside the venue and if we got to go up the elevator, we would be metting 'N Sync! Come to find out what that guy ment was for the people who had been notified by the fan club were supposed to come in! Well we weren't notified! We noticed that groups of people were being sent up in the elevators. So much to my resistance (I didn't want to get caught) Jessyca drug me on the elevator with a bunch of people who had passes!
I ws so scared we were going to get caught not having passes right in front of 'N Sync and I was going to die of humiliation! Wel as soon as the elevator stopped there was a guy at the top and all he asked is if everyone had on passes. Everyong said yes and he left!! He didn't check anyone for passes! We managed our way to get up towards the frount of the line where we met this girl Marie who was by herself and snuck up too. So we decide to go into meet 'N Sync together! We also met a girl named Julile who snuck up with us too!
As we got towards the front of the line, there was someone there ripping everyone's ticket. When we got close enough to see inside te Meeting Room I started jumping up and down just snapping pictures. Joey was the closest to the door and he looked over and smiled at me!
Finally we got up ther with NO passes at all!! We went in and I shook Lance, Chris, and J.C,'s hands. I got too excited and walked past Justin and Joey. OOPS! Well my mom had made J.C. a present of a Washington Redskins Football player (his favorite team) with his name on it. I walked over there and handed it to him. I felt bad for him because Chris and Justin had a lot af gifts, but he didn't have too many. I just looked at him as he started talking to me and it took me awhile just to realize that J.C. Chasez was actually talking to me!
It was time for the picture to be taken and all of a sudden J.C. put his arm around me! My knees got weak so I had to hold on to Julie's coat or I would've passed out! I told myself to stay calm until I got out. As soon as I walked out of the Meeting Room I started crying! It was just too cool for words!
That night Jessyca and I followed 'N Sync to their hotel. Well Chris got off first and immediately went in and up the elevator. Joey and Lance followed. J.C. was next and the great thing was, that J.C. remembered me from the Meet and Greet and he came over to the glass and waved he to me and Jessyca! Justin waited on the bus teasing all of these girls for 30 minutes! Every 10 minutes or so he'd have his bodyguard look out and Justin would look through the curtains every once in awhile. That kind of made me mad, like he was too good to come out with the rest of the guys or something!

I won tickets and backstage passes to their concert. Justin, is so hot and really sweet. I burst out into tears when I met him, he gave me a hug and said, "It's okay, you don't gotta cry!" How sweet!! And Joey is also so hot and really sweet. When I met Joey, I almost started to cry, but before I could, he said, "Don't cry, cuz it'll make me cry!" I started to laugh...Lance, J.C, and Chris are really sweet, too. I LOVE THE GUYS!!!!

This happened on December 13, 1998. Me (Jennifer), my mom, my aunt Bobbie, and my friend Kari all took a 3 hour ride up to Nashville. I didn't really like 'N Sync at the time, so I wasn't going for their concert, we were walking around our hotel and we saw buses outside. Me and Kari were going "Ooo...maybe it's...gasp!...'N Sync!!" but we were just totally joking. Well, my mom and aunt were still in the room getting ready while me and Kari were riding the elevators. We were sitting on the 25th doing nothing, just sitting there (yeah, aren't we exciting?) and we started going down. We got to the third and this guy gets on. We were having fun sitting there (lol) so we were muttering under our breaths "Dude...y did you need an elevator?" but he got off on 9. Well, I look out and I see Chris standing there but the way me and Kari were standing in the elevator she could see Joey and not Chris and I could see Chris and not Joey. I seriously didn't know I knew their last names, but I nudge her and said, "Kari, that's Chris Kirkpatrick!" and she was like "NO IT'S NOT!" and that caused him to look over there and give us weird looks. Well, someone down in the lobby needed an elevator so we started going down. When we get down to the lobby Joey and Chris came off of an elevator first. I was (at the time) afraid of Chris, so I wouldn't ask him for a picture. And like a dummie I didn't think about Joey. LOL. So I took one of them walking out, but like an idiot didn't use the flash. Then Justin came down and I said "Hey, Justin!" and he goes "Hey yo, sup y'all?" he smelled like Abercrombie. I could smell him from there. Then my mom and my aunt came down and me and Kari are like, spazzing. So then Lance and J.C. came down. My aunt, me, and my mom were all like "I'm not asking for a picture!" so I went and stood behind Lance and my mom took the picture. He was talking to some chick though so it is bad. But then I was like, about to scream and my aunt walked over to J.C. and said "Excuse me, will you have a pictue taken with my niece?" and he was like "Sure!" so I had my picture taken with J.C. The first time my mom was about to take it, I was looking at him and not the camera so my mom was like, "Jennifer, look at me." so I looked at her and I was overly embarrassed. I tried to get Kari over there but she wouldn't go. Oh well. Her loss (I say that in the nicest way possible:)) then we went to planet Hollywood and they were there and I got Joey's autograph. It was really cool. I will never forget it.

Okay so I am one of the BIGGEST 'N Sync fans and I wrote this letter to my local radio station and they wrote me back the next day and gave me two tickets! So we went to the concert and sat in like the 20th row! It was the best concert ever! They did so many PELVIC moves (if you know what I mean)!!!!! Then these girls in front of me told me where the after party was! So we drove down to the Mowtown Cafe and saw this big bus and into the LIMO!!!! Then Lance, Justin, Chris, and Joey came out!! I was in so much shock!!!! Then we ran around front and there was a big gate going around the Cafe with tarps on it!! The Bouncer was like "Tickets please." So I was telling him I didn't have any and over by the fence I heard Justin saying "Hello, Phoenix"!!!! So I ran over there and ripped down the tarp and Joey was right there and he said "Well ----! Hi!" And shook my hand!!! I almost passed out!!! We started to call Justin, but he looked at us like "I don't associate wiht people who can't get in a VIP party"!!! So that's my story!!!

My dad works Kellogg's and they sponsered the guys so as like a thank you the guys came to the world headquarters of Kellogg's in Battle Creek. My friend from Illinois was staying hte weekend and we had found this out like the day before we wnt to pick her up so I was sitting in her room waiting for her to come home from a friends house and I noticed that she had a picture of Jc and Justin on her bulliten board. Kelly (my friend) got home and I asked if she liked NSYNC her answer (just guess) "Heck yeah they are sooooo hott!" I then asked if she wanted to meet them and (guess again) she started freaking out! I swear she was like hyperventalating. So on July 27 we got up and drove to Battle Creek, MI @ 8:30. when we got htere they were just letting people into the area where they guys were going to be and we were like front row! My sister was just standing there like "What the hell is going on", Kelly and I were freaking out and my mom was sitting down trying to get the video camera to work. When the guys came out I went crazy (who wouldn't) and Lance winked in my direction.
