A Loved One Passes |
I am overcome with melancholy
my love was so tender and sweet
it grew in the summer like a farmer's wheat
living on without you leaves me empty
as a tear falls, "I'll miss you, honey"
on the floor I fell to my knees and prayed
"let her know my love will never fade"
all through your life, you have been so loving
my emotions for you have been hiding
as I remember all the times we shared
never showing how much I cared
