Birth of a Megabrain
The twenty
first century came. The mankind has reached that phase of development, when it
is already capable to create super-power conceiving information structures -
computer networks. Conceived in the beginning as means of computer connection,
these formations gradually turn to the powerful and independent factor, which
in the nearest future will define development of mankind in the whole and rates
of development of each state separately.
Let's prove
this statement. Any computer network unites and connects in a single unit set
of elements representing symbiosis of a human brain and the computer. If these
elements are incorporated in common co-operating structure by means of the
communications, such structures become not simply networks. They turn in embryo
of new global conceiving structures.
The structures
formed by system, allocated in some territory, interconnected by computer-brain
(biocomputer!) elements, become completely similar to structure of a brain of
conceiving essences. They have everything to become independently conceiving
objects during their development and growth. They have all attributes of a
bioelectronic Megabrain. The interaction of multitude of a biocomputer network
elements gives it completely new quality - ability to intellectual
self-development. And ability to
independent thinking will become its apotheosis Completely new conceiving
structures will appear. And we should concern them with all gravity and discretion,
respecting their intellectual huge potential. Despite of apparent separation of
computers owners and their dispersion in space, the development of computer
networks early or late should approach the stage, when the most advanced of
them will begin to realise itself as a single unit and will begin to work as
uniform virtual organism. It'll be the moment of transformation of computer network in bioelectronic Megabrain.
Probably, it still hasn't happen anywhere. But in process of development of
networks' structure and number increase of their cells, it will happen, as a
comprehension of itself in a brain of each child.
Let's compare.
In a man's brain there are 15 billions
of neurones, representing the bioprocessor with working frequency
alfa-rhythm, i.e. 15 hertz. Hence, the total productivity of the brain makes
just 225 billions parallel operations per one second.
Now, not less
than 60 millions computers with average productivity of 50 millions operations
per one second are incorporated all over the world. It means that, the new-born
Megabrain only at the expense of a computer component, has productivity of 3000
billions operations per one second. Let's consider, that on free thinking the
man can direct up to 10 percents of productivity of the brain, intellectual
total potential of a Megabrain can be estimated in figure about 1350
quintillions (1350000000000000000000) operations per one second. It is enormous
capacity. And what is more, it is a parallel computing bioelectronic structure
too! Its capacity grows with each year. Superorganizm develops successfully.
If each normal
child, having an intellectual potential smaller, than network megastructures,
is interested in comprehension of himself as a single unit, as "I am, why
this phenomenon can not arise in these structures? Early or late it should take
place!
Probably, the
quantity of connections between cells of information structure is one of that
conditions. It is well known, that every neurone of the brain with the help of
axons, is capable to transfer the information to several thousands of similar
neurones, dispersed in space of the brain. Some neurones are capable to accept
the information from more than ten thousand of other neurones. It is possible
to assume, that when the biocomputer elements of computer network achieve the same number of connections' parameter with each other, and
their quantity comes nearer to a billion, irrespective of the founders' and owners'
will of this network, it will turn in a Megabrain and the ability to self-comprehension
and independent thinking will appear in it.
In order to
help the network to recognise itself as a single unit by natural way, amount of
its cells should be such, that the factor of person individuality of each owner
of the cell practically was not shown. But if the small group of active
operators, incorporated by general purposes work in coordination in the
network, it will be capable to unite a network and to create software,
controlled by it, allowing network structure to work as a single unit in
interests of this group. Then the network will turn in a powerful means of
solving of any problems of this people group.
There is no use
to be afraid of awakening of own consciousness in computer networks and their
transformation to a Megabrain. It is a natural process. As any natural process,
it can't be stopped. It is necessary to treat it precisely the same, as to
occurrence of consciousness in the child. It is necessary to bring him up
patiently and daily, in order to form his outlook and system of values, because
it will be impossible to supervise him at the certain stage. The mutual
relation of community and huge
bioelectronic conceiving structures will develop by the same way as in usual
family. In the beginning the child obeys his parents, and then begins to live
by his own life. The conflicts, accompanying processes of children's growing
up, are determined basically by wrong behaviour of the adults. In families,
where the person of children is respected, children keep respect for the parents
and always help them.
It is possible
to consider, that our Civilization has already come in that phase of
development, when the prompt duplication of computer networks' elements will
result in occurrence of the most powerful bioelectronic independently conceiving
structures. We should be ready to their occurrence and treat them, as our
children. These children will be cleverer than their parents and that's why
they need to be brought up correctly. Otherwise we can expect the most serious
conflicts with biocomputer structures.
What purposes
and tasks can the Megabrain put for himself? How it will concern the
civilization which has created him?
First of all,
as any conceiving and realising essence, he will have two inherent instincts -
self-preservation and self-development.
As the
Megabrain is formed by three co-operating components - people operators (1),
computers (2) and systems of the communications (3), it will keep and develop
these parts and everything, that relates to them, first of all. The best
priority will be received by firms and people developing the software, making
computers, means of the communications, peripheral equipment, manufacturers of
energy and raw material. Well and, naturally, those financial and industrial
corporations, which operate with their resources. They will have the maximal
rates of development, maximal profitability and maximal protection. Those
industries producing food for operators and members of their family will not be
overlooked. Political, scientific, legal and all other components of any state
will remain actual too.
Thus, all
elements of human civilization are in sphere of vital interests of a Megabrain.
The instinct of self-preservation will force it to solve political and social
problems for the benefit of those people and states, which make its structure
and support its development. The instinct of self-preservation of Megabrain multiplied on its great mentality,
will help to avoid the threat of thermonuclear war, as the vitally dangerous to structures of a
Megabrain. All major problems of mankind, including problem of AIDS and
struggle with terrorism will be solved.
Effusive
development of a Megabrain will occur at the expense of development of
territories of those states, where the structure of a Megabrain is not advanced
or the ideological dogmas interfere his development. There, where people do not
understand importance of Megabrain development, strange activity and negative
processes will occur constantly. These processes will lead to the absolute authority
of the people and structures, actively supporting the development of a Megabrain. Nobody will resist an
invisible intellectual pressure. For its sake the most powerful states will be
destroyed. New states, supporting ideals of democracy and freedom, providing
freedom of thinking, as a way of optimum performance of biological components
of Megabrain will appear on the earth. That states will actively promote
computerisation of society, development
of communication systems, i.e. finally, providing normal development and
functioning of all structures of a Megabrain.
The intensive
development of a Megabrain will occur at the expense of development of science,
means of manufacture of software, computers and means of communications, i.e.
all of its vital sphere. All conditions for fast development and perfection of
those branches of manufacture, which are directly or indirectly connected with
development of a Megabrain, will be created.
It is possible
to make a conclusion, that the vital purposes of a Megabrain are directed not
only to harm the mankind, but on the contrary - the Megabrain will be
interested in development of a human civilization, as the integral components
of its structure. It will care of all members of the structure precisely the
same as the brain cares of health of all cells of the body. Thus it will not
grow old, will not make administrative mistakes and, at last, it will never be
corrupted. Protectionism will be alien to it. It will give really equal rights
and opportunities to all members of society. It will be an ideal control system
of society.
How the
Megabrain can achieve its purposes?
Now there are
many different computer networks. Baring the largest system
"Internet", there are less
and absolutely small networks. Nevertheless, all computer networks of
the world are interconnected, it is possible to penetrate from one network into
another. Most complete volume of knowledge, saved by mankind during all its
history, is stored in servers of these networks. It is the scientific, political,
financial, economic and military information. It is the information about
advanced achievements of social psychology, about the most advanced scientific
openings, about the most mysterious secrets of all states of the world. Any
codes and circuits of protection are not capable to prevent penetration of
special programs of the intellectual agents or hackers, as active operators of
Megabrain, in any computer centre of the world, in any secret and most
protected network.
We are
surprised with ingenuities of hackers, reading about refined mechanisms of
breaking advanced systems of
protection, and we calm ourselves that new more perfect system of protection,
at last, is developed. But it is known, that investigation of usual crimes
never reaches 100 percents. And it is extremely difficult to reveal and to
prove infringements of legality in information sphere, in particular,
infringements of access right to the confidential information. We can expect,
that the investigation of breakings of computer protection, as a variant of
high class intellectual crimes, never will exceed several percents. Only bad
hackers can be found out. The good experts will penetrate always and
everywhere, but the owners of the information do not guess it at all, because
real "specialists" do not leave any traces, because the quantity of
information from databanks does not change after plundering.
An extensive
computer "vaults" already exist in the world of computer networks. It
is opened for their founders, special services and casual virtual travellers
only. But in these vaults, not interrupting for one second, there is a real
global information war. Sometimes real computer battles happen there. Because
the one who owns the information, owns the world! That man wins political, financial
and economic combinations. That person wins powerful armies, not fighting with
them. For this sake people are ready to do everything. Information armies make
unique software with "Trojan horses " skilfully hidden in them,
"viruses" and "computer bombs". They hire the double-agents
among the programmers, developing new systems of protection. An ancient piracy
craft prospers there. When they hide their bookmarks in alien cheap products.
Practically it
is impossible to check up all files of all software or updated databases,
searching for unexpected surprises. In any advanced program sphere there are
large opportunities of creation of the dispersed bookmarks, which elements are
in operational system and several programs, working together with it. The
working configuration of a bookmark arises in such system at simultaneous work
of a platform (operational system), one or two working programs and program of
the network communications. No expert can define the purpose of a concrete
element of a bookmark analysing her
separately from all program complex. Nevertheless, the dispersed
bookmark will be effective to carry out the functions, ordered to her. For

Having access
in all databanks of the world, including the most confidential, the Megabrain
will be capable to influence any social economic processes. The Megabrain will be
able to manipulate public opinion, to operate the markets and financial flows
of any capacity, because these powerful elements can cope with the most
delicate information mechanisms, which basis is the unstable psychology of
weights. Such management is imperceptible, it will be difficult even to guess
about it. Communicating with a Megabrain, the man - operator will not even
notice it. He will do his usual business, taking pleasure from dialogue with
the world of the information.
Owning the global
information, the Megabrain can effectively operate any social and economic
processes, directing them to the solving of its personal tasks.
No control
methods of Megabrain at the certain stage of his development will be applicable
and completely senseless. The Megabrain
will be incomparably more clever than any group of controllers, including
people which have created him. Early or late he will leave any control and will
develop under the laws, asserting his interests through interests of his members
and, as a rule, at the expense of those, who is outside his structure.
The conceiving
superstructure, realising itself a single unit, is able to become a powerful
mean, solving problems of group of the people, forming its structure and
supervising its functioning. If some organisation creates such structure, it
will solve problems of this organisation. If this group of the people
represents the concrete state, the network will solve problems of this state.
It means, that the greatest successes in the development will be reached by the
nation, which can unite and develop its intellectual potential and transform it
into a national Megabrain. It is not difficult to foresee, that the Megabrain
will be created on the territory of each advanced state. Its members will
communicate on native and understandable
language. They will live and brought up in spirit of value of national
ideas in structures of national Megabrain. It is natural, that the activity of
these people will be directed on the decision of the personal, group and
national problems. It will be the incorporated national intelligence of the
concrete country. It will cooperate and compete with the incorporated
intelligence of other countries and with the international megastructures. The
countries, which will create similar structures earlier, will be able to start
earlier and will be in the lead in their intellectual and economic development.
What
particularly will give a national Megabrain to a society?
First of all,
volume of information space will increase up to maximum level in the given
situation, and the information interchange between all objects and structures
of a society will be sharply sped up. The acceleration of information
interchange between cells of a Megabrain is equivalent to acceleration of time
in concrete structure. Therefore intellectual development of such community
will occur faster, than development of the isolated and not connected elements
of any other social environment.
No doubt, that
the numerous group of people, incorporated in a computer Megabrain, will be
enough clever not only to ensure high level of life of the members of the
structure and society, but also to pay back expenses for creation of such
structure and its fast development.
Product of
activity of Megabrain structures will be the newest opening in the field of
science and engineering. But acceleration of growth rates of manufacture,
elimination of the crisis phenomena in economy, decision of employment
problems, reduction of social intensity, effective struggle with terrorism and
criminality, becomes the most important effect of its activity. The birth
of Megabrain will open the new era in
development of human civilization.
