Please be warned that there are photos from Ita's caesarean section here. If you are faint-of-heart you might want to stop scrolling when you get to that section. I've deliberately put it at the bottom with a label. The first time I looked at those photos I almost cried...

Here's the nice stroller we got for about $37. BabyDoes ShoX. It's nice. The tray in front can hold two bottles. The front foot rest can be made horizontal. The pushbar can be reversed so you can look at your baby. The baby can recline or sit depending on what you want. And, you can reverse the wheels so it becomes a rocker! Nice, eh?

Here's Ita posing to show how pregnant she is in the final month. Along with the stroller we got a baby bed/playpen. This nice Priori Club cost us about $55. It includes a changing station that can be hung off the side and the mattress can either be put on the bottom or suspended from the top. As with the stroller, it can be changed to allow you to rock it.

During the infusion the midwives and nurses that attended to Ita sometimes wanted to encourage Jasmine to move around in her tummy so they'd pretty the mouse button. Some bright fellow put a little motor in there that makes the mouse shake. The vibrations sure did catch Jasmine's attention! I borrowed it a few times to startle friends and family with! ;)

I thought it was interesting how far Ita's belly-button protruded towards the end of her pregnancy.

Here they're putting in the IV for her infusion. Breathe, honey, breathe!

They fed her hospital food, of course. Some of it was actually good, like this kue lapis or layered cake. It's a bit wet and a bit sticky and Ita loves eating it by peeling off one or two layers at a time!

"Ahhhh...I love that new incubator smell! Can I drive it around the block?" Ok, maybe she didn't really say that, but can you prove that I'm wrong??!

Let's take a closer look. Ok, I love my baby girl but, come on folks, newborns just are not cute!

Post-op with Jasmine surrounded by family friend Aji, myself, Grandma Sutarti and Grandpa Isdarmo. Wahyu's behind the camera. Later, he was so happy that Jasmine had come into our lives that he started crying.

Ah, here they are with Wahyu, Ita's big brother. The hat you see him wearing is the traditional Muslim hat called the kopya.

Lots of people gave us gifts. Here's just one example from Wahyu's girlfriend, Rina or "Cimot". Can you tell what her favorite color is? Yup, you guessed it - yellow!
C-section area! Warning! Graphic surgery photos!

Ita with the anesthesiologist, Dr. Teguh. He did a good job because she had no idea when they started the surgery.

"I'm ok, really!"

The initial incision being made. Wow, that looks painful, doesn't it?!

A nurse assists Dr. Feryati, our GP, and Dr. Asril, Ita's ob/gyn, while they open up Ita's abdomen, as two midwives observe and Dr. Teguh monitors Ita.

You can see they've got Jasmine's head out of the breach.

And here's the rest of Jasmine. The doctor said she didn't need any spanking or anything to start breathing and crying.

Of course, they checked Jasmine's health to make sure she was ok and she got a thumbs-up! :)

And, finally, they're pulling out the afterbirth. Gross, isn't it? After the surgery Ita complained quite a bit about how uncomfortable (ie: painful) she felt. She said she never wants to have another c-section. I can't blame her at all! Neither of us wanted to do it this way...
