.:Bleeding On The Cross:.
I would never censor something I've written in the past, but based on the openness and caring shown to me by those with strong faith, this is not a song I would write again. At the time I had so much bitterness towards organized religion and the self-righteous people who claimed to practice it. This is a song about that self-righteousness. It's message, basically, is "judge not lest ye be judged". The line "I won't see the strength in knees" refers specifically to those people who treat others terribly and then go and pray and believe that it makes everything ok. A quote I got from Lorie recently applies here: "Going to church makes you no more of a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car."
