| The Innocent O.J's are a 4-piece and I hate to use the term, punk band, 'cos it seems that it's just not cool to punk anymore. - it's all that "emo" and "popcore" or some stupid crap like that. But HELL! that's what the O.J's do best. Punk with plenty of metal influences thrown in for good measure! With enough catchy tunes to make your Aunty Lynne sit up and say,"well roger me with a rusty poker, these guys are rather good!" Yes! They are a punk band and Yes! They whine about splitting up with girls and all that crap and YES! They would f*@k your mum given half a chance, but watch one of their outstanding live sets and you'll soon be shitting your pants with excitement, saying "Well, I was just going to sit at home and masturbate to the latest christina aguilera video tonite, but lucky me I got to go see the O.J's instead!" Anyway, shut the hell up and tell me what they sound like, I hear you cry?!?! o.k. ever heard of Venom and Diamond head? Well, they sound NOTHING like either of them! Instead of pigeon-holing them like everyone does with every band these days, maybe I should point out their influences. O.K. The guys' music is definitely influenced by the following bands, STRUNG OUT, THRICE, IRON MAIDEN, NOUSEFORANAME, PANTERA, METALLICA, DIESEL BOY, KILLSWITCH, MOTLEY CRUE, KISS, and THE MOVIELIFE. ok so they don't sound exactly like any of these bands but that's the great thing about them - just check out their 2nd E.P. "keep your enemies closer" and you'll see that it's also a great deal of originality and cutting edge ideas that make the O.J's the band they are. HELL YEAH!, The o.j's have been described as "Salt of the earth tossers!" sorry, wrong quote it was Phil's dad who said that. MAKING MUSIC magazine said they are "brash, catchy and 100% pure energy." Another one was,"W.Yorkshire's answer to STRUNG OUT" Basically, the O.J's have a very U.S. sound and pull off (did I say pull off ?") some cracking double-time punk with catchy melodies, loads o' harmonies, metal and more 80's cock rock than you can handle, FATHER F**KER! Sound like your bag baby? Well these punk / metal sluts have been around too long for you not to have noticed. After rocking out at some outstanding Nation-wide shows claiming rave reviews along the way, winning many competitions, appearing on national radio and SKY DigitalT.V. these guys are ready to take on the world.
