Ty was born in Carlow Ireland, he lived there until he was about 12 years old. His father died when he was 8 in a tragic car accident. Ty was in the backseat of the car when a truck side swiped them as they went through a traffic light, after coming home from Tys soccer game. Ty only got a broken arm, some ribs, and a lot of cuts and bruises. He was stunned for a moment then looked at his father, he was looking in Ty’s direction, blood pouring out of his mouth….Ty was traumatized. His father said something to him right before he did as the EMTs were pulling up, Ty has never told anyone what it was not even his mother or sister.

His mom started dating an America who was looking over a company in Ireland. Everything seemed fine, after two years they got married. Ty didn’t like him much, even though his mom and sister got along with him great. It wasn’t until they moved to the California with him, were Ty and James started butting heads even more. James started getting violent towards Ty when no one was around, trying to make Ty show him some respect. Soon James got out of control and started beating him for no reason.

Ty became very shy and kept to himself a lot, he continuous ran away from home or lock himself in his room and play on his computer. The cops kept finding him and bringing him back, and he would hide in his room until James would come get him is punishment. The only time James and Ty got along was when Ty played football during high school. Ty bulked a lot before his Junior year, he was an excellent wide receiver. Once football season ended everything would start up again, even though he was able to defend himself he just couldn’t, Ty was so used to being beaten. He knew he had to get away as soon as possible. After high school and he was 18, he joined the Air Force after talking with a recruit at a job fair at school.

He went to boot camp, then went to college for computer science and engineering getting it all paid for by the Air Force. He loved working on computers and got extremely good at it, in his spare time he taught him self how to hack and build computers. After graduating he went through weapons training to prepare himself for missions. He did a lot of navigating, creating false documents and built gadgets that would be useful from different mission. Ty was the best and he loved what he did, always striving to be better.

His CO, saw Tys potential and suggested him to the SGC thinking his computer skills could come in handy to the Genesis Colony. He was offered the position and took it immediately, figuring it would a good job opportunity for him. Not really knowing what he was getting into
