Joined the Air Force at the age of 18. He was later assigned to the special forces unit. He was also a POW in Iraq. Son, Charlie, died from handing Jack's gun and it accidentally went off. Sara and Jack divorced, and very soon after Jack was assigned to the original Abydos mission. The original Abydos mission was suppose to be a suicide mission, which Jack wanted, but it didn't ended up being one. Jack defied orders and lied to his CO at the time and said that the people of Abydos and Dr Jackson were dead. Jack retired after the original Abydos mission. Later on, Jack was recalled to duty when there was an incident with the Stargate. He had to confess to General Hammond that he had lied to the CO from the first mission. He was sent back to Abydos to retrieve Dr Jackson. After the second Abydos mission, Jack was assigned as the CO of SG-1. He was assigned Captain Samantha Carter, Dr Daniel Jackson, and Teal'c to his team. For five years the team risked their lives to save Earth and help fight against the Goa'uld. Dr Jackson "ascended" to a higher plane of existence and Jonas Quinn was assigned to the team. Soon after, Jonas Quinn was killed on a mission. He was then assigned Captain Riley Fox and Dr Chrislyn Star to train. They later became apart of his team. In July of 2002 he once again retired from the SGC, but has been recalled once since then to overlook the SGC after General Oberon had a heart attack, but was then relieved by General Fox. Has recently married his former 2IC, Samantha Carter.
