Personal History:

The oldest of 11 children, Josiah Venture honed his ability to work with children from a very young age. Since both of his parents were ER doctors, the Venture children lived in quaint Australian luxury, but spent most of their time either being watched by aunts or uncles, or by one of the older children. Being the oldest, he grew up far too quickly and was much too serious during his childhood.

Josiah earned a Masters of Education, and did most of his higher education studying how to teach multiple age groups in a single classroom setting. Specializing in secondary education, Josiah quickly found his niche in a rural schoolhouse in western Colorado before being recruited to work on the Genesis colony.
