Andrew Douglas Neylan was born on October 11th in 1962 in New Jersey to Amy and Walter Neylan. He grew up in New Jersey as well as New York. His father was an engineer who worked on bridges in New Jersey and the surrounding states. His mother was a local school teacher. Although, Andrew grew up as a single child he never wished he had a sibling because of all his friends in his neighborhood. He grew up in a normal New Jersey middle class enviroment, going to public schools all his lives. At age eighteen, he joined the Navy. He attended US Naval Academy and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. After graduating Andrew was appointed a spot at the Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island. Andrew was assigned to Norfolk, Virginia upon completing his courses with the NJS. On one of his very first cases he met Ailis Patterson. He kept in touch with her through the years. He and Ailis later married, and even though they didn't get to see each other because of their different assignments they were very close nonetheless. Andrew was saddened when his wife was assigned far enough away where he couldn't have daily contact with her. Although, he had been assured by her that the general of her assignment would try and get them assigned together. Andrew is current assigned to a JAG office in Washington, D.C.
