Personal History:

Abigail was born and raised in Sacramento California. She had a very happy childhood and had very good relationships with her parents. Her mother was an Egyptologist and Abby was always completely amazed by the stories in the Egyptian Mythology. She decided early on that she would study all types of Mythology and the actual basis behind them when she 'grew up.' Which she did.

By the time she was in high school she already knew practically every mythological story in Egyptian, Roman and Greek mythology, plus various others. And she wasn't done studying yet. She took French as a second language in school, having fallen in love with the language when she was eleven and had gone to Paris for a month with her parents. She was fluent in the language by her junior year, thanks to out of school tutoring and lots of studying on her own time. She applied for an exchange program so she could go to France for her Senior year and study there. She was accepted.

A week after completing the eleventh grade she was packed and ready to go. Her parents sent her to France to stay with a friend there until her school began and she would move in with her host family. She loved it more than anything. When school started she moved in with the Sanxay family, who were to host her during her school year. The Sanxays had a son who was three years older than Abby. After spending so much time with him for so long she began to fall for him. They had an odd relationship. To her it was like they /were/ in a relationship, she knew that she loved him and felt in her heart that he loved her, too. He, however, saw it merely as a fling with some American girl who would be gone in a little under a year.

Until she found out she was pregnant, anyway. Before she was even seventeen, after only three months of living with her host family, Abby found out she was pregnant. Both she and Alain knew that he was the father. She was disappointed in herself and ashamed for letting this happen and knew she couldn't return home in the state she was in. Finally Alain agreed to marry her and they were married about three months after she found out she was pregnant. Abby was ecstatic. Even though Alain had gone into the marriage grudgingly she knew he would come around and realize just how much he loved her.

However that never happened. They both returned to the US after she finished her senior year. When they arrived Alain saw this marriage thing with a whole new outlook. It gave him citizenship for the US. He stayed with Abby for as long as he could stand it before leaving her finally after two very unhappy years. She was heartbroken. Despite the problems they had had she knew that they would have been able to work it out… But he had left her. With no money and no job, trying to get through college. She was forced to move back in with her parents who were more than willing to help her while she finished getting her degree.

By the time she was 27 Abby graduated from her school with a Doctorate in Mythological Studies and a Masters in Historical Studies. Her first job was teaching at the same school she had graduated from. She taught full time while raising her little girl, Madison. In any free time she had she attempted to track down Alain with little to no luck. After a few years she gave up on it.

She started to give a lecture series on certain aspects of Egyptian Mythology that seemed to pertain much too close to the Stargate project for comfort. The people who ran the program contacted her, offering her a job. She wasn't so sure, so she was brought to Colorado and briefed on the subject. After finding out a basic gist of what it was she gladly accepted the offer, knowing it would be something new and exciting and something to help her move on from her past.
