Innisfreed Farm Lesson Program
Horseback riding lessons are offered on our horses or yours.  The focus is on beginners and advanced beginners, as we feel it is vital to instill correct riding principles and proper horsemanship from the start of a rider's career.
Only private lessons are offered, to ensure that these goals are accomplished.
Basic horsemanship skills are part of every lesson.

The farm's lesson mounts are safe and educated.  Lunge line lessons are also utilized to teach the basics of a stable and balanced seat without overreliance on the reins.  Riders are expected to assist in tacking up and untacking their mount,
and are given the opportunity to assist with horse and stable care after their lesson.

Polo lessons are also available- the basics such as the four strokes (2 off side and
2 near side), the rules of the game, and control of the horse are all taught.
Our trainer was a starting member of the National Championship teams
in 1997 and 1998 at the
University of Connecticut
Trips to area polo matches on summer Saturdays at 3PM can also be arranged.

In addition, we will help clients find a suitable mount at a reasonable price through our network of contacts if it they wish to purchase a horse of their own.
