Chi is the term used by the Chinese mystics and martial artists for the underlying force the Universe is made of. Mystics in all cultures have talked about the physical universe being made of an underlying form of something, much as modern physics research is now coming to understand the Universe is made of energy which is subject to (or affected by) thought. Just as modern physics says this energy is affected by thought the mystics also say this underlying form is affected by thought, going so far as to claim we create our own reality from our thinking and the thoughts we share between each of us every day.
Reiki Treatments Reiki treatments are non-invasive and non-intrusive Clients are asked to lay down, fully clothed, on a treatment couch or simply sit on a chair. The session will be fully explained by the therapist. The attuned therapist will then place her hands in a number of key positions to re-establish the bodys natural equilibrium, bring with it a feeling of warmth, well-being and comfort. Reiki projects the bodys natural ability to heal itself and is an excellent complementary mode of healing; deeply relaxing and comforting. Reiki is neither a religion nor a belief system; we each of us have this innate ability, a gift given from the heart and unconditional love.
