During mid March Mike, Pat and Ricky went on a search for channel cats through the ice. They succeeded by catching several nice cats as well as a rock bass and crappie. These fish were taken in about 20 to 30 feet of water using cutbait on a small ice jig. Most fish were drawn off of the bottom but a few came in suspended about five feet. The battle with these channel cats using lightweight tackle made for a very interesting show.
