Jill
He sits all alone as he patiently waits
For the girl that can set his dreams free
And when she walks towards him, he opens his eyes
And tells his heart, "Look, and see."
There's a flame that burns in her
That sets her apart from the girls he's met before
And she sets him on fire as she looks in his eyes
He's only heard of this in folklore.
But now it is real, she stands there in front
Of the boy whose heart has known pain
And he sits there in fear only wanting to find
That she will take him in from the rain.
She says that she loves him and she wants to know
If this boy that she loves loves her back
And he sits there in fear knowing the truth
Not wanting his heart soon to crack.
He's in love with the girl, the one of his dreams
And now his dreams can come true
But he sits there afraid as his heart beats so fast
The boy, in love, is confused.
He worries because he's been hurt before
And she swore she would not do the same
He trusts in her words and gives her his heart
And believes that love isn't a game.
He loves her with every beat of his heart
And wishes that time would stand still
The girl of his dreams that he loves so much
Well, her name is Jill.
