Away for awhile
Always on my mind
Time that you needed
For you to unwind.
I've kept myself busy
As best as I could
But I've missed you greatly
I knew that I would
We've talked every so often
To keep our hearts close
Our love stays alive
Won't let it be a ghost.
Some say that distance -
It makes the heart grow fonder
While pessimists say,
It makes the mind wander.
In our case love's got us
We're bonded so tight
That no storm and no distance
Could put up a fight.
I've waited so patiently
As several lands you comb
My heart's been so anxious
Today you come home.
