Other Fees and Charges:
Drop in Care/Temporary childcare coverage: minimum 2 hours - $7/hour, $35/day
Late payment fees: $5/day that childcare payment is late. This includes Saturday and Sunday. Please remember that this is my income and that your child's meals and activities depend on it.
NSF cheques: $25/item. All NSF cheques must be replaced with a cash payment for the fee amount, the NSF charge and any additonal charges incurred and must be delivered the next day, before childcare will be provided.
Late pick up fees: $5 per first 15 minutes and $1 for each additional minute. My family time is precious. This policy is in effect to discourage late pick ups.
**Late pick up times and overnight care may be arranged on an individual basis.
My childcare services are provided at a guaranteed rate; if your child is absent on a scheduled day, you will still be charged. If your child is picked up early or is absent from care for part of a scheduled day, you will still be charged for a full day. A deposit is not required. Payment of fees is due on the first childcare-providing day of the month. You must provide a schedule for the month at this time of childcare dates needed.
Receipts will be provided monthly after payment is received or yearly if preferred.
If I am ill, I will notify you as soon as possible. If my husband is available to provide back-up care, he will do so, otherwise you are responsible for finding an alternate care provider. You must provide the names and contact information for at least 2 non-parental people who have permission to pick up your child from care if you cannot be reached. If you do not bring your child due to an illness in my family, you will not be charged and a credit will be applied to your next month's payment. If your child is ill, you will still be charged.
Vacation and Holidays:
I am closed on all stat holidays. Christmas holidays will be negotiable each year, but generally fall from Dec. 23-27. I will give notice as to the exact dates with at least a month's notice. I take 3 weeks of holidays in the summer and other days by arrangement, with sufficient notice. For days that I am unable to provide childcare (illness, family medical appointments, etc.) I will notify parents as early as possible. You are not charged for any holidays that I take. You are entitled to take 2 weeks of holidays/vacation days per year without paying any fees for your child, as long as I am given 1 month's notice prior to those holidays commencing. Any holidays in addition to those 2 weeks will be charged at 1/2 of the rate, assuming 1 month's notice is given. Holidays taken without the required 1 month notice will be charged full rates.
