| Freebee was one of the sweetest cats I'd ever met. I'd known Freebee since I was 7 and I loved her right from the start. Her loud purr was just one of the wonderful qualities she had. She never scratched anything except cardboard boxes that were set aside for her. She loved to be brushed and would purr and lick your finger(and sometimes your nose or a toe!) when you brushed her. The only thing Freebee loved as much as being petted and adored was food!! Freebee's adoration for food showed as she became more and more rotund over the years. That didn't matter to us, though, because her sweet, loving personality always stayed the same. I will always miss her. -Bonnie Freebee was the best cat I ever had! She was really sweet and affectionate. And she didn't have bad habits like clawing up the furniture or making noise at night. She loved jumping on my lap while I was watching TV and taking a snooze. As she got older, all she ever did was snooze! Freebee also had the loudest purr I ever heard. I'd put the phone up to her neck so people could hear her purring. It doesn't seem the same around the house without her. We miss her a lot, but we're also glad we had her for more than 10 years and gave her a happy life with us. I'll always remember Freebee fondly. -Rob(my dad) I never considered myself a cat person, not having grown up with any, but Freebee (later known as Tweetie) changed that right away. I still remember the first time I petted her and she started purring -- it was so loud that I had to ask Bob what that noise was! Bob was the "good" dad that Tweetie always pestered for food; I think she just considered me as someone to tolerate. :-) But she was a sweet, gentle cat, and she taught me with her contented looks that sometimes you just have to live in the moment and not worry about the past or the future. She changed my life by making me appreciate how wonderful cats are (especially Tweetie!), and I'll forever be grateful to her for that. I still miss her even though it's been a couple months, and I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for her. -Doug |
