The weather was cold and rainy..
but spirits were high
and patriotisim was overwelming!
I have a daughter serving in Iraq
whom I miss very much
and I am extremely proud of..
and I mourn for BJ
and for those just like him that have
given all they had for their country..
whether they wanted to or not..
Men and women alike have given great sacrafices
more sacrafices than many of us could ever
begin to understand..
My thoughts after walking in this parade today..
and hearing so many "Thank You's and "Our prayers are with you"
seeing so many smiling faces and flags waving in the air...
How could I ever sum all those thoughts up...
I'll never have enough words..
I love our country..
my government scares me to death most of the time...
but we are a proud country..
and I am so proud of each and every soldier
that has ever served my great America...
