abandons poetry troop/
shaves off his beard & afro/
realizes later he's done
far worse to another/

keeps learning

what it means to forgive himself,
& her, & the world/

rediscovers many times over
the source of pure, nonreciprocal
water./  keeps messing up/
but getting better at it,

or so he thinks...
summary:

"their angels are watching over them,
so i wont defame her
& i wont defame the other guy
since i'm most imperfect."

revisions in poetry

result of new sensitivity

collegetown, usa,

over a fox, poet chases "why"
while "why" stood still/

but poet slaps himself silly/
