| ink Slinger Tattoos & Body piercing studio has been operating for 3 years in Zimbabwe. Studios were run in both Harare and Mutare but the Harare one has been moved to Bulawayo. The studios work on an apointment basis only unless the other arrangements have been maid. This was done to prevent clients waiting around and not getting a tattoo or piercing done. EQUIPMENT USED TATTOOS A tattoo machine consists of the machine itself, a tube, a shaft and needle. All of the equipment that is re-used is sterilised as reccomended by medical practitioners throughout Zimbabwe. Needles are used once only and thrown away. Surgical gloves are worn throughout the tattooing process and are also disposed off. Cotton wool is used to wipe the tattoo and surgical spirits or meths used as well to clean the area. PIERCING Piercing is done using forceps and a surgical needle (NOT SYRINGE NEEDLES) Surgical gloves are worn and they aswell as the needles are disposed off after use. NOTE: A piercing gun is not used because it shoots dull studs into your flesh causing it to tear. A piercing stud is also then required to be kept in place till the piercing has healed. Using a needle is faster, less painfull and the jewelry you want can be fitted right then and there. You are advised on the best aftercare procedure for your piercing and it is stronfly recomended that you stick to it.
