        Tired of waiting for things to happen,

        Tired of trying to make things happen,

        Tired of being bookish and quiet,

        Tired of trying to be who I'm not,

        Tired of life passing me by,

        Tired of life never beginning,

        Tired of looking at others' beauty,

        Tired of looking for beauty in me,

        Tired of pretending to be smart,

        Tired of never knowing,

        Tired of never finding love,

        Tired of fighting for acceptance,

        Tired of complaining about life,

        Tired of dreaming,

        Tired of reaching, for what I don't know,

        Tired of not knowing who to be,

        Tired of listening to sermons,

        Tired of short-lived spiritual visits,

        Tired of this world and its trappings,

        Tired of hearing of Heaven above,

        Tired of singing words without soul,

        Tired of yearning to feel God's touch,

        Tired of wondering about the future,

        Tired of shame and guilt about the past

        Tired of foolish, meaningless pride,

        Tired of false humility,

        Tired of existing instead of living       

        Tired of reading, watching, writing,

        Tired of not knowing everything now,

        Tired of assuming i could,

        Tired of envying other people,

        Tired of not understanding Jesus,

        Tired of hearing I'm a new creation,

        Tired of feeling so unclean

        Tired of trying to delve my soul,

        Tired of responding harshly in anger,

        Tired of holding ancient grudges,

        Tired of turning the other cheek,

        Tired of pain, weary of hate,

        Tired of bitterness, patience, and temperance,

        Tired of measuring myself against others,

        Tired of trying to be in the know,

        Tired of pursuing things that don't matter,

        Tired of ignoring things that do,

        Tired of being unable to tell the difference,

        Tired of laughing when I shouldn't,

        Tired of not crying when I should,

        Tired of judging people,

        Tired of using insults as humor,

        Tired of putting myself down,

        Tired of never being satisfied,

        Tired of failing to stop and smell roses,

        Tired of acting grown up and mature,
