The Esperanto Primer
Once upon a time about a hundred years ago, a guy decided to make a language called Esperanto--"Hope". This language would be worldwide, uniting all the peoples. It would be easy to learn and understand.
I've compiled a language primer of various Esperanto phrases and their English translations. Practice diligently, and you could join the Esperanto societies of the world! There are about a million people in Europe who speak Esperanto as their main language.
Repeat after me!
"Cxu vi donos al mi bonan libron?"
Will you accompany me to go hit on that librarian?

"Multan dankon pro la floraj!"
it's too hot for the damn flowers!

"Mi acxetis sakon de pomoj."
My goodness sakes, I stuck my finger in an apple.

"Ili estu felicxaj!"
I'm so damn lucky!

"Li nun fermos la pordon."
I think we're out of wine.

"Li patro donis gxin al mi."
Dude, your dad hit me.

"Estas bone ke vi ne iris."

No good will come of this ugly color combination.

'Li vere montris sin amiko."
My best friend lives on top of that mountain.

"La duan filon ili nomis Bernardo."
Her little brother's name used to be Bernardo, but we killed him.

"Unuj estis bonaj, aliaj malbonaj."
Some things seem nice, but are secretly very wicked.

"Tio estas nek blue nek bruna."
Bruises are blue and brown.

"Kiu estus farinta tion?"
Will you pop this New Year's cracker?

"Oni cxiam devus esti gxentila."
Some of us have divided over the subject of gerbils.

"Legu mem la leteron."
There's no lasagna in this letter from my mom.

"Mi feros tiun segxon pli forta."
My legs are stronger and more flexible than yours, weakling.

Learn and be educated!!!
