| I would have liked to be a window dresser. But that was just about impossible to get into. One had to know someone who knew someone and also be of a certain persuasion in lifestile. [I wish I could have seen into the future] |

| There were a few jobs available. my best friend at the WKS, Traudl Zwick, got a job in Germany. The "boys" also in Germany. One of the other girls went to Holland. But what about me??? |

| The school years were at an end, I had to find a job |
| I realy didnt want to sit in an office all my live! |
| Then there was Hairdressing [I would have loved to do this] 'ohh I see..hmmm well you are a bit small and dont look very strong. This is a very hard profession....You have to stand on your feet all day.I dont know if...............?! Dont you think I know that?? I have been to a hairdresser!! Sometimes people think they know better then yourself what you can or cannot do! Oh well.. maybe it was to the best |

| For that I needed to become an Apprentice for 3 years in the Leather industry, which Offenbach is world famous for and after that another 4 years at the then 'Werkkunst Schule' [now hfg- Offenbach] for which Offenbach is also rather well known |

| The 'far away' was very tempting. I always thought somewhere international would be great. |

| My apprenticeship was at the Firm of Fritz F�rstl in the Frankfurter Strasse. After that came the entrance examination for the WKS, die heutige hfg At that time the competition was very fierce as they only took in 25 people a year, I made it in, even after all these years I am still stoked about that!! |
