Episode 3: Aerial Assault
Back
Yes it shall, laughed Bowser. Its time I obliterated you once and for all, Grodus. No one makes a fool out of Bowser, King of the Koopas.

Oh really, is that so? taunted Grodus, the source of the robotic voice. Lets see how you deal with this! he said, tossing multiple bombs at Bowser and Ganondorf. The two villains dodged most of them, but a few hit their target and really left a mark.

Is that all you got? said Bowser weakly, straining to speak. I though you were going to do something impressive.

As you wish, King of the Koopas. replied Grodus, blasting Bowser and Ganon with a powerful green laser that drained most of their strength and left them lying motionless on the street. Grodus, apparently thinking they were dead, abandoned his attack and resumed wreaking havoc on the city.

Man, that guy got tough, moaned Bowser after Grodus was out of earshot.

Who was that anyway? queried Ganondorf.

Some evil villain, replied Bowser. Tried to kidnap Peach and take over the world. Of course, I defeated him.

Yeah right, mocked Ganon. Mario probably did it.

He did, admitted Bowser. But I helped, he said pathetically.

Yeah, you helped mess things up said Ganondorf. Mario almost lost the battle because you tried to attack him.

So what? asked Bowser. You expect me to be the good guy and save the day? Well guess what, thats not my role.

We need to destroy this Grodus, said Ganondorf. We cant rule the world with him causing trouble in it.

Yes I agree, said Bowser. Lets take down his ship with my castle.

Great idea, agreed Ganon.

The two hurried to Bowsers floating castle, which they had parked in front of Eggmans factory. They went inside, took to the skies, and started to head for Groduss ship. As they approached it, it was laying waste to the rest of Emerald City and people around were screaming in terror.

Enough Grodus! shouted Bowser, firing a barrage of fireballs at Groduss ship.

Its time to put an end to your dastardly schemes, once and for all! chimed in Ganondorf.

Well, well, well, said Grodus. Look who it is. Come back for more, have you? Well I have plenty more, he said launching a series of bombs and green laser shots at Bowsers castle. Bowser and Ganondorf skillfully piloted their way around Groduss attacks before launching an onslaught of flames right at their enemys ship. My ship! Its on fire! cried Grodus.

Im glad you noticed, smirked Bowser. Thats what you get for messin with Bowser.

Paybacks a bit....of a pain, said Ganon, quickly rewording what he said.

Oh I may be down, but Im not out, said Grodus. X-Nauts attack!

Several kamikaze X-Naut bombers flew out of the hatch at the bottom of Groduss ship. Each one was equipped with a jetpack and had a bomb strapped to its chest.

Oh no, panicked Bowser. What do we do, what do we do?

We steer around them, said Ganon calmly. He took the controls from Bowser and began to steer the castle around the incoming X-Nauts. One nearly hit the castle, so Bowser launched a fireball at it, causing it to explode and damage the other X-Nauts surrounding it. Bowser and Ganon steered the castle all the way around the bombers and was heading toward Groduss ship.

No, not my ship. Back, you fiends, back I say! shouted Grodus in despair. He began to fire off several lasers at Bowsers castle, but nearly all of them missed and the castles armor deflected a few of the other ones. Suddenly, the fire on Groduss ship became too intense and it began to overheat. A 2-minute countdown to detonation sounded on Groduss ship. The hell with them, said Grodus, regarding his crew. He pushed the eject button on the controls, shooting himself in a much smaller vessel out of the exploding ship.

Umm, Bowser. Its still moving, said Ganondorf, noticing the wreckage of Groduss ship approaching the castle.

Oh no, its gonna blow, bellowed Bowser. Aaaah!

It was nice knowing you, guys. Muahahaha!!!! cackled Grodus in his smaller, more compact ship, as he began flying away.

The 2-minute countdown on Groduss ship ended.

Were toast, said Ganon.

French toast, added Bowser.

I dont wanna die, cried Ganondorf. Hey, its not blowing up. What gives? Not that I mind. One of the stray X-Naut bombers collided with Groduss ship, causing it to explode, wiping out everything within blast radius, including Bowsers castle.

Youre finished now!!! gloated Grodus.

Meanwhile in the closet in Bowsers castle..

Hey whats going on out there? asked Link.

I dunno-a, said Luigi. Something-a about French-a toast and-a blowing up-a.

The castles blowing up and were toast! translates Link in panic.

Huh? What-a?! says Mario indifferently, turning over in his sleep.

.

Samus just landed on Earth to investigate the site of the dark energy at Cool Cool Mountain, when she noticed what looked like an inferno in the sky.

No way?! she exclaims in awe. Is that Bowsers castle? Mario, Luigi and Link said theyre in there, and that means theyre toast!

Samus leaped into her gunship and began flying towards the castle in the hopes that something could be done to rescue the three heroes, but it seemed hopelessly impossible. The castle was already engulfed in flames and it was exploding violently. Shift gears to Mach-Speed, said Samus, pressing a few buttons. You guys wont be destroyed on my watch.
Last time.....................
After a futile escape attempt, Mario and company remain captive in Bowser's castle. Meanwhile, Bowser and Ganondorf have gone elsewhere to try to convince another to villain to ally with them. But on their way back, Boweer comes face-to-face with a foe he definitely cannot forget, nor can we.
