Episode 2: A Daring Proposal

Ganondorf awoke the next morning feeling more refreshed than ever. Bowser, however, was still dozing hours after Ganon had woken up.

�Dude, it�s 10AM!� shouted Ganon. �You gotta get up now. We got some evil business to take care of.�

�Ah,� yawned Bowser, stretching sleepily. �Five more minutes, Mom.�

�I�m not your mother, you fool!� remarked Ganondorf, slapping Bowser across the face. �Get up now.�

�Alright,� moaned Bowser. �You don�t have to be such a party pooper.�

�I trust our guests had a good night�s sleep,� sneered Ganondorf, peering into the potato sack in which Mario, Luigi and Link were stuffed.

�Unfortunately they had to hit the sack early,� remarked Bowser, mockingly. �Pity they couldn�t hang out with us last night. Mmm�Pizza Hut.�

�Yeah, delicious,� replied Ganon. �Problem is you get too much gas and you know�..�

�Let us out of here!� demanded Link, who had just woken up and was now moving around in the sack trying to find a way out.

�Are you kidding?� asked Ganon. �No way.�

�You�ll-a pay, Bowser,� warned Mario.

�Aww, they�re threatening us,� teased Ganondorf in an false affectionate tone. �How cute.�

�Wow, the Mario Bros. at my mercy?� asked Bowser incredulously. �That�s a new feeling. Usually I�m begging them to�..Um, never mind.�

�Yeah-a Bowser, you�re-a just that-a pathetic,� remarked Luigi.

�Am I the fools in a potato sack?� asked Bowser, starting to laugh.

�Let us out and fight like men, you cowards!� demanded Link.

�We would, but you know, we�re busy guys,� taunted Ganon.

�Yeah,� chimed in Bowser. �We�ve got places to see, things to go, people to do, err�yeah, you know what I mean!�

�Let me do the talking, you fool,� Ganon in a quiet whisper. �I�m the brains, you�re the muscle, remember?�

�That�s where you�re wrong,� said Bowser smugly. �You see, I am both the brains AND the muscle, G-Man.�

�Right-a��,� said Mario disbelieving.

�Like I said, am I the idiots who allow themselves to be captured in a potato sack?� asked Bowser again.

�I don�t know-a,� chimed in Luigi. �You could pass for several idiots,� he joked.

�Quiet!� shouted Bowser, now slightly embarrassed. �I have a slight weight issue. So what! My doctor said it�s absolutely normal.�

�Normal?� laughed Ganon, but Bowser just glared at him.

�Let�s make a deal,� suggested Link. �If you let us out, we�ll quit tailing you for a few years.�

�And-a we�ll a-throw in a cash-a bonus,� added Mario.

�You are in no position to make deals!� shouted Ganondorf. �But we do have an offer: Link, you must hand over the Master Sword. As for you two�.,� he said, referring to the Mario Bros.

�You must hand-scrub and polish my castle,� interrupted Bowser. �Thoroughly,� he added.

�Umm......Bowser,� whispered Ganon. �Don�t you think you should ask for something a little more valuable than for the Mario Bros. to clean your castle?�

�It�s huge inside,� said Bowser. �They�ll be cleaning for years,� he smirked.

�So what do you say?� asked Ganondorf.

�We accept!� said Link firmly, drawing his sword and slashing out of the sack. Mario and Luigi followed. They began to make a run for the door. �Thanks for the hospitality. Bye.� added Link politely.

�They�re getting away!� shouted Ganondorf.

�No they�re not,� laughed Bowser. �Nice try guys. Unfortunately for you, that�s a closet.� Ganon breathed a sigh of relief. Bowser locked the closet door and continued talking. �Make yourselves at home in there,� he said. �We�ve got some business to attend to at the moment, so goodbye for now.�

The two villains headed into the castle dining area, where they each got a cup of coffee and began talking.

�You think he�ll do it?� asked Bowser.

�Who, what?� asked Ganon.

�You think we can persuade Eggman to side with us?�

�Why would we want to do that?�

�Because. He�s so cool and unstoppable. The guy�s an evil genius, man!�

�Robo-man? Why would he want to join us?�

�The conditions I�ve laid out will prove most irresistible to the doctor. As powerful and influential as he is, he will not turn us down.�

�Really? I�m looking forward to see what you have planned.�

�Let�s head down there now then. Excellent. We could always need another set of hands. And maybe Mewtwo will ally with us as well.�

�Nah. I hate Pokemon.�

Bowser and Ganondorf landed the floating castle lair and began to walk to Dr. Eggman�s factory.

�This must be the place,� said Bowser stupidly, since the sign clearly said �Eggman Industries� in big bold letters.

�No really? How�d you guess?� replied Ganondorf sarcastically.

Bowser approached the door and rapped on it with his fist. Within minutes, a robotic butler appeared in the doorway. �Hello and welcome to Eggman Industries. Would you fancy a cold beverage?�

�We�d like to see Eggman,� said Bowser. �The cold beverage sounds nice though.�

�Come with me,� said the butler, motioning for Bowser and Ganondorf to follow him down the hallway to Eggman�s laboratory.

�We have visitors, sir,� said the butler to Dr. Eggman as he entered the lab.

�You scum again?� remarked Eggman, slightly repulsed at the sight of Bowser and Ganondorf.

�Hey buddy,� said Bowser excitedly, but the feeling of friendship wasn�t mutual.

�Before you send us away, I want you to hear us out,� said Ganon. �You see, we have a plan to conquer the world in order and I thought you would like a position in our new order�.�

�What �new order�?� mocked Dr. Eggman. �You will not have a new order because you plan will fail. It stands no chance at succeeding whatsoever.�

�Uh, Dr. Eggman, you should listen up because WE HAVEN�T YET UNVEILED THE PLAN, YOU BUFFOON!!!!!� fumed Bowser, breathing fire throughout the lab and knocking a few beakers over.

�Yeah, give us a chance,� added Ganondorf.

�Very well. What is your plan?� asked Dr. Eggman, his voice calm.

�There was this meteor that struck Cool Cool Mountain,� began Bowser. �From the meteor, dark energy radiates, turning people nearby into dark zombies.�

�Now this power can be harnessed,� said Ganondorf. �And now, using the energy to control countless people for evil purposes, we will have an evil army to do our bidding and conquer the world. Muahahahaha!!!! Sorry, I just couldn�t resist laughing.�

�And neither can I,� sneered Eggman. �You plan is futile. It is a waste. It shall never succeed.�

�So, you wanna join us?� asked Bowser.

�Are you kidding me?� asked Eggman. �Last time we formed an alliance, it failed. Even with Mario, your arch-nemesis out of the picture, you couldn�t stop those second-rate heroes from rescuing the stronger characters and stopping us. Same for you Ganon. You two couldn�t pull your weight so I would never think of joining you.�

�But,�. but��,� whimpered Bowser.

�Enough,� said Eggman. �Guards, show them the door.�

Once outside Eggman�s factory, Bowser and Ganon began to discuss what had just happened.

�That went well,� said Bowser stupidly.

�Well? Are you kidding me?� asked Ganon. �I thought �the conditions you have laid out for the doctor will prove most irresistible�. Huh? What happened to that?�

�Well, I thought the plan itself was good,� replied Bowser. �Plus, I whimpered.�

�You fool,� shouted Ganondorf. �You�re as weak as he says you are.�

�Oh, like you�re any better?� retorted Bowser.

�Yeah, well at least I�m not a whimpering fool,� Ganon replied.

�At least we have the Mario Bros. and Link in our possession,� stated Bowser. �We can formulate an evil plan later.�

�Yeah, you�re right man,� said Ganondorf. �Let�s head into town.�

As soon as Bowser and Ganondorf walked into Emerald City, the closest residential area to Eggman�s factory, they were greeted by flashes of bright green light that nearly missed them. A UFO was hovering above them and blasting everything in sight. People were running around in panic, unsure of what to do. They were under attack by aliens, they thought. No safety precautions had been planned to guard against this. Aaaah!!!!!

�Bowser, we meet again,� said a robotic sounding voice coming from the ship. �I assure you, it shall be the last time!�

Last time....................
Mario and Luigi let down their guard just for a second and now they are in the hands of their enemy. Link has also fallen victim to his enemies' plot. A terrible sign and some horrific losses by the heroes left them at the mercy of Bowser and Ganondorf in Episode 1. Will things improve for the heroes? Or will they remain captive at the hands of their greatest foes? Read on to find out!
