THE MYTHS ABOUT CONDOM SAFETY

99-EB5 $6.00 61 PAGES (paper) ISBN: 1-929883-04-8

What is the number one reason that American women go see their gynecologist?

Is abstinence taboo in the black communities?

Is abstinence unrealistic or ineffective?

Would the 156 million dollars help the Black and Hispanic communities to fight against HIV/AIDS?

First of all, I would like to give glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , for saving me, and giving me the strength, the courage to write my first book of essays which express the truth not half truths. This book consists of 4 chapters which tells the readers why there are myths about condom safety. The chapters will clear the dust from a lot of people's eyes. May the readers read carefully, because I don't want the readers to miss the important points in each essay. I hope the readers digest what I have carefully researched and will make their honest observations about THE MYTHS ABOUT CONDOM SAFETY.
There are some AIDS activists who are going to churches, getting on TV shows, writing articles for popular magazines, making videos about telling people to use condoms; but in reality, they don't use them. Does the readers know that every 26 seconds another adolescent becomes pregnant in America? Does the readers know that every 56 seconds another adolescent gives birth in America, too?1
Do you know that America is ranked fourth to other countries in the world who us condoms?2 A biochemist named David Collart resarched that 1 in 5 condoms fails.3 Imagine, you getting down with Judy Brown, and your sex partner have Herpes, which by the way doesn't have a cure. When condoms are used consistently, the condoms carry a 10% to 43% risk of people getting infected with HIV, Genital Herpes, Chlamydia, and HPV.4 Many people think condoms protect people from STDs, but condoms can't protect the users or their sex partners from crab.Condoms are created by layers that have ports, that are 50 times larger than the HIV size virus. DR. Archer states:"So if we blind folded each one of you, and said that there is a hole in this room that is 50 times larger than yourself, do you think you might be able to find that? I think the point is, that you can."5 Does the readers know that 150 per 1,000 couples used condoms, but they experience unplanned pregnancies preceding 12 months of using the condoms?6

It's not a dream I thought, or the WILD-WILD WEST.

Because I felt the gun shot penetrate my chest.

The dream felt so real.

How did I get into this mess?

SEARCHING

I’m searching for an
answer to the problems
we had in 1994; what I saw
was violence, turmoil, racism,
poverty,and much more.

When I hear on the news or
read about the young kids being killed,
I ask myself why is this
happening; when I pick up the Bible
and read some scriptures,
The answer to the problems
we face today are spilling
out to me.

Making stringent laws isn’t
the answer, hiring more police officers
isn’t the answer, and making drugs
legal isn’t the answer. But the answer is very simple.
Prayer, believing, having faith, and trust in God,
because God has all the
answers that people are searching for.
