One of the script writers of the movie had an interview the other day and an interesting piece of news came up.
How did you end up on Jurassic Park IV? "I got offered it when I was a screenwriter for about a week. The question was how to say no and tell my wife. I had a really good time. I wrote it really funny. The kids in it were like the ones in Willy Wonka. But I had to step off when I went on location for Kingdom. John Sayles did the rest.
The Story
The story for the movie is currently unknown but rumours from previours scripts are either Dinosaurs with guns (now banished), Dinosaurs returning to the city or the extinction of the islands. The last choice seems the most possible as titles for the movie so far have been Jurassic Park IV: The Extinction and other similiar.
Cast
So far Laura Dern has been asked to star in the movie and she has said she would. This is only a rumour but she has now been put on the Jurassic Park IV IMDB page.
Richard Attenborough has been in the news recently for saying he will be in the fourth movie if there are not too many lines. He has had many interviews about his upcoming films and in each one he has said he might be in it. Also the BBC wrote a report on one of his new films and ended with something along the lines of "he can next be seen in the film Jurassic Park IV which is currently in production. He was also on a chat show explaining how he might be in it.
Summary
So, we are only recently getting some information on the film from Richard Attenborough but it looks like the film may begin pre-production soon. The producer, Frank Marshall, has said yet again that the script is in production but the film will begin soon.
