Trailer Days
Ahh… The Trailer Days… Who could forget those… Who could forget this is what started the IPW… Who could forget this is what about ended it.
Yes, The Trailer Days. It may seem a little odd, it may seem a little absurd, but never the less these were the first days of Ingalls Pro Wrestling. Most of us were 18 years old, most of us just out of school, and most of us were the thought doing drugs was the greatest thing. It all started when Keg O’s Mom and Dad left their house for a temporary job in California.
At first we thought it was the greatest thing, sit around, get high, stay high, sleep, get high, eat, get high, sleep, get drunk, pass out, get high. It comes to find out this wasn’t as much fun as we thought it would be. Day in and day out this is all we did. We did not have jobs, we did not have motivation, and we did not have much of a life. Bored of the monogamy, we felt that things were a little to mind-numbing to continue at the rate we were at. We had no idea how much doing drugs had effected our lives.
We thought that a little wrestling match might cure some of the dullness. The first match was an off camera tag team match with Keg O’ Beer and the Ghost Rider VS Snake and Venom. We wrestled around for about an hour. Controversy still remains who won this match. There was no Fake submission moves or fake pins, we were going for the kill. From doing nothing to wrestling until both teams were exhausted paid a toll on us in a nauseous sort of way. That didn’t stop us though we had bigger plans.

We decided to tape our matches. At this time we had never even heard of backyard wrestling. Since we decided to use fake punches and real submissions, matches took up to an hour. Most of our matches ended with submissions, not one ended with a pin, and a few ended by exhaustion! Incorporating fake punches and moves with real submissions didn’t always work the greatest. Keg O’ would block every punch, a few of us didn’t know enough wrestling moves to get us through the day, and our pride kept us from faking most of it. We’d always go directly into the submissions!
This greatly paid it toll. Our pride was hurt. Fake Punches Got carried away. Head Locks became real Choke holds. Things were taken way too seriously. Anger turned into rage. Watch the video to understand what almost made Ingalls Pro Wrestling come to an end. Sometimes video’s speak louder than words. But don't think that Snake is just being a jerk. Everyone was being just a little to rough.
By this time many other people wanted to wrestle. Firefly VS Sac was a ground breaking match for Ingalls Pro Wrestling. They did something we had never thought of… Predetermined matches! No real submissions and no real holds! Sac lost to the Firefly and he knew he was going to from the beginning of the match. These helped our pride factor and besides, It looked a lot cooler!
By this time, nearly a year later, Keg O’s mom and dad moved back and needless to say we didn’t tell them we were wrestling and doing drugs in their house and nor continue to, that’s why we decided to move it to Harley Charlie’s and Bad Ass Brads backyard. We wrestled in two events before the neighbors complained of loud noise and bad language. To avoid all the head aches of dealing with old people we decided to build a ring in the Punisher and Big Poppa’s yard. The rest is history. You can finish seeing how things develop by reviewing all the events on the “Events” page.
Yes The Trailer Days. IPW's humble beginnings. This may have been one of the biggest turning points in our lives. Our calling of backyard wrestling has taught us so much more than we could have ever imagined. It has shown us how to work together, be better friends, and one of the most important things… it has taught us there is more to life than doing drugs and hating life!
