"Guideline for the design and implantation of an e-Health environment with the operations, applications and technology architecture required"

Many interesting topics are discussed in my thesis work, for example:

• Comparition between diverse methodologies used in the industry to achieve process reengineering.
• Benefits of using administrative applications sucha as: ERPs, CRMs and RTEs.
• SWOT analysis (strengths, opportunities, weakness and threats) to evaluate the proposed methodology.

Projects

In college, I participated in the development of many interesting project, some of which are:

Remote manipulation of an ABB industrial robot from an Internte page. To achieve this we used serial port communication, an Apache WEB server and PHP code to design and develop dynamic Internet pages with data bases (May 2002).

Design and implantation of a distributed database system using ACCESS in three different computers and Internet pages with PHP to add or update data (May 2002).

Design and construction of a robot with light and distance sensors. The objective of the robot was to find a lighted candle and turn it off, avoiding the obstacles in his way (December 2001).

System to control the intensity of a light bulb depending on the ambient light presented in the room, using a light sensor and communication with the PC via parallel port (December 2001).

Extracurricular Activities, Seminars and Workshops

• Attended the workshop "Analog Devices Sensors and Analog Signal Chain" (February 2008), where staff from ANALOG DEVICES presented a variety of sensors, converters and power sources.
• Attended the FREESCALE SEMICONDUCTOR seminar(October 2007), where two workshops were held: the FLEXIS workshop (compatibility between 8 and 32 bits microcontrollers) and the ZIGBEE workshp (wireless communication between devices).
• In charge of the "Robotics Exposition" (May 2005), where my students from the Robotics Laboratory presented their projects to the general audience.
• Attended the "Simposium Internacional de Comunicación " (March 2004), participating in the radio workshop.
• In charge of the "Robotics Workshop" on the 2d Congress of Mechatronics (September 2003).
• Physics Laboratory Instructor (January - May 2002).
• Excursion leader on ITESM (August 1999 - May 2000).
• Organizer of the "3er Congreso Internacional de Electrónica Aplicada" ( International Congress of Applied Electronics, October 1998).
• Organizer of the "Congreso Anual de Conductor Designado" (Annual Congress of Designated Driver, June 1998).
• Participant in the 3rd ISE Day (conferences with former students, May 1998).
• Member of the Astronomy Club (August 1994 - May 1997).
• Participant in the Entrepreneur Program (August - November 1994).
