Cheesecore review of Infractus EP by Naomi Watters
It's hard to believe that this good quality little collection of songs could come from a studio in York...who would have known York was so rock 'n' roll?!
The front cover has a very interesting animal print furry feature, along with handcuffs and a glass of whisky. A cow's arse is also featured on the back of the CD, something if I'm honest I don't completely understand...
"Lux Perpetua" is the first song  obviously named after the band, which could seem somewhat...uh, nu-metal? (sorry Steve!)...but far from it as the band like nothing more than a good ol' piss take at Fred Durst and such people...which is certainly fun live.
Lead singer Steve has a top voice that echoes out of the stereo and pulls ya in like some wild animal. "Infractus" brings funky ass guitar chords at the beggining of the song and just gets better from there. "A Tale of the Darker Side of Paranoia" brings simply more good sounds. This CD has barely left my stereo and I can't wait to hear more from the band.
