After setting up camp in the dark and rain, we awoke in the morning to lots of water. And then it really started to rain...
My family was not impressed!
Especially when the new tent started to leak!
But as time passed things started to dry out and we managed some sailing. We found a small cove with a hot beach and spring.
The beach was hot - the more your toes dug in the hotter
it got.
Good for sitting in!
There was a little hot stream that flowed down through the bush.
Lake Rotoiti has it's own thermal bath, only accessable via boat.
We even did some touristy things in Rotorua
