HOW TO ACCESS THE UTILITIES ON THIS DISKETTE:

1) To access files and utilities located in the ROOT directory:

   a) Clean Boot your system to the  "A:\>" prompt with a bootable DOS system
      diskette.
   b) Insert the Maxtor Utility Diskette in the 3.5 inch Floppy Disk Drive
      and establish operations at that drives prompt.
   c) To view a text file, type "type {filename.ext |more}" and press the
      [ENTER] key. To run a program, type "filename" and press the [ENTER]
      key.

2) To access files and utilities located in the \IDE directory:

   a) Clean Boot your system to the  "A:\>" prompt with a bootable DOS system
      diskette.
   b) Insert the Maxtor Utility Diskette in the 3.5 inch Floppy Disk Drive
      and establish operations at that drives prompt.
   c) Type "cd IDE" and press the [ENTER] key. The DOS prompt will change to
      {drive}:\IDE>.
   d) To view a text file, type "type {filename.ext |more}" and press the
      [ENTER] key. To run a program, type "filename" and press the [ENTER]
      key.


3) To access files and utilities located in the \LOWLEVEL directory:

   a) To access files and utilities located in the \LOWLEVEL directory:

      1. Clean Boot your system to the  "A:\>" prompt with a bootable DOS
         system diskette.
      2. Insert the Maxtor Utility Diskette in the 3.5 inch Floppy Disk Drive 
         and establish operations at that drives prompt.
      3. Type "cd lowlevel" and press the [ENTER] key. The DOS prompt
         will change to {drive}:\lowlevel>.
      4. To view the text file, type "type {filename.ext |more}" and press
         the [ENTER] key. To run the program, type "filename" and press the
         [ENTER] key.


4) To access files and utilities located in the \WIN32BIT directory:

      1. Clean Boot your system to the  "A:\>" prompt with a bootable DOS 
         system diskette.
      2. Insert the Maxtor Utility Diskette in the 3.5 inch Floppy Disk Drive
         and establish operations at that drives prompt.
      3. Type "cd win32bit" and press the [ENTER] key. The DOS prompt will
         change to {drive}:\win32bit>.
      4. To view the text file, type "type {filename.ext |more}" and press the
         [ENTER] key. To run the program, type "filename" and press the [ENTER]
