¿OYE USTED LO QUE YO VEO?, ¿VE PALABRAS, LETRAS O NÚMEROS DE
COLORES?, ¿TIENEN SABOR O TEXTURA LOS NOMBRES DE SUS AMIGOS?, ¿TIENE
COLOR SU DOLOR? .
Este tipo de relaciones, es lo que conocemos con el
nombre de SINESTESIA.
SINESTESIA/SYNESTHESIA es el término utilizado
para describir un conjunto de estados cognitivos relacionados con la
unión de los sentidos. Etimológicamente hablando, sin: unión y estesia: sentidos = Unión de los sentidos.
Las sinestesias son percepciones genuinas, no asociaciones de
memoria visual de la niñez o un discurso metafórico. Son producidas por una hiperconectividad entre las áreas cerebrales. Neurológicamente hablando, si el cruce es extensivo, es
decir, si las interconexiones están relacionadas con partes cerebrales que
procesan o representan resúmenes de conceptos, esto explicaría el nexo
entre la creatividad, metáfora y sinestesia, con la consecuente mayor incidencia
entre poetas y artistas.
Las últimas investigaciones realizadas en este campo resultan
extremadamente interesantes para el conocimiento de la mente humana. Es
una ventana abierta a nuestro cerebro y podría resolver muchas de las
incógnitas relacionadas con la Percepción y el pensamiento.
Es por ello, que Universidad de Almería, Fundación
Internacional Arte Cittá y Ayuntamiento de Cuevas de Almanzora, han colaborado conjuntamente en la organización
del I Congreso Internacional Arte y Sinestesia con el propósito de mostrar y
reunir los avances realizados por investigadores y expertos europeos y
norteamericanos de gran prestigio, en cada uno de los numerosos aspectos
de la Sinestesia. El enfoque interdisciplinar del
Congreso que presentamos, posibilita que vaya dirigido a todos aquellos
interesados en aproximarse a un territorio tan apasionante como el que nos
ocupa, estando especialmente dirigido a neurólogos, psicólogos, artistas,
lingüistas, historiadores del arte, músicos, educadores e investigadores en
discapacidades sensoriales, estudiantes y sinéstetas en
cualquiera de sus categorías ...

know as SYNESTHESIA.
SINESTESIA/SYNESTHESIA

the senses. Etymologically speaking, ‘syn’ =
union, ‘estesia’ = senses; thus ‘union of the
senses’. Synesthesias are genuine perceptions,
not memorized visual associations from childhood or metaphorical speech. They
are produced by hyper-connectivity among the cerebral areas. Neurologically
speaking, if the crossing is extensive, that is to say, if the interconnections
are related to cerebral parts that process or represent summaries of concepts,
this would explain links between creativity, metaphor and synesthesia,
with the consequent greater incident among poets and artists. The latest
investigations carried out in this field turn out to be extremely interesting
for knowledge of the human mind. It is an open window to our brain which
may allow us to resolve many cognitive relationships with perception and
thought. For this reason, the University of Almería,
the International Foundation Art Cittá, and City Hall
of Caves of Almanzora have collaborated jointly in
the organization of the 1st International Congress on Art and Synesthesia, for the purpose of showing and exploring the
advancements made by European experts and American investigators of great
prestige, in each of the numerous aspects of synesthesia.
The interdisciplinary focus of the Congress that we present enables all those
interested to approach a territory as exciting as the one that occupies us,
being especially directed towards neurologists, psychologists, artists,
linguists, art historians, musicians, educators and investigators of sensory
disabilities, students and synesthetes of all
categories
