OCS
Thinking of being an OFFICER ? Ok, let me tell you a summary about an Officer Cadet's life. After BMT, a soldier who is usually carrying a rank of a private will be then be posted to either "unit" or "schools".
For schools, there are a few, but most likely they will be either posted to "OCS" or "SISPEC". OCS stands for Officer Cadet School and SISPEC, School of Infantry Specialist. I'm not going to tell you the entire story cuz you're supposed to find them out yourself, thats PROVIDED you're posted to OCS =)

For Officer Cadets, which is the main topic of this page has one of the longest training time span in the SAF. 10 months of training, divided up into 3 terms. They are:
1. Tri-service term
2. Service 1 & 2
3. Professional Term

Tri-service Term is a mixture of all Navy,Airforce and Army cadets and it is just one month, when a Cadet wheres a rank of 1 white bar. Activities occuring will be:
1. Interviews
2. Sports
3. Lessons
4. 5 KM F.March

For Service Term 1, the Army cadets are on their own. It consist of all army vocations, i.e Infantry, signals, Artillery, Engineers and Armour. It is also 1 month of training similar to the Tri-service Term, just that at the cadets will be give 2 white bar and at the end of the month, there will be a :
"Selection Field camp" consisting of a 5-days topo and some section missions.

Then comes the Service Term 2. Its a 2 month training. Lesser thoery lessons this time but have some drills and weapons lesson and some other extra training like IPPT and SOC. Finally before end of the month, there will be 3 finale:
1. Petrol field camp, 5 days
2. Ex. Spade, digging exercise
3. Platoon field camp, 3 days
Altogether 3 weeks almost outta OCS.

Finally comes the Professional Term. =) The infantry cadets will remain in OCS while the rest post out to their own schools, i.e school of Armour, school of Signals .. etc etc.. The pro Term is  a 5 months gruelling course, consisting of:
1. Ex. dump-in, 5 days
2. 3 Platoon mission exercises
3. Some lessons and weapons drill
4. 2 overseas trip, Brunei and Taiwan.
5. Platoon Assault Course
6. Ex. Panther <-- determines the sword of Honour

then finally you're commissioned as an Officer.
OCS HQ
This is the OCS HQ. The Commander of OCS will be here and many high ranking personnel will be there too. Just watch out as you go inside, there are alotta heritage inside. This is a general picture of the heart in OCS. Located just in front of the Dinning Hall, the Cadet's mess is on the left and the lecture theatres and Main Auditorium is just ahead
Wing
This is just of the HQ on the left. Further down is where the computer lessons are held and the Advance Officers' Course are conducted. There are many more buildings down the road also, go and find out yourself if you go there =P This is a typical accomodation block which called "Wing". This is also the Wing I was trained in during my time in OCS, Alpha Wing. It is a prestigeous wing =P
Track
Road
On the left are accomodation blocks for the cadets. This road is frequently used for morning runs and route marches. On the right will be the basketball court and a small field for weapons or missions practice purpose
This road leads to the HQ and the Parade Square where the Cadets are being commissioned as Officers. The tower in the picture is the OCS Tower consisting the of about 265 steps, which are the number of days a cadet is under training. Believe me that one day you will run to the top of the tower.
